MAY 23, 1941

Bad turn in the BOA as the Kriegsmarine returns to sea and 10 MS are sunk. Neither of my pursuit attempts succeed.

Clear weather in the East, but still no Barbarossa. Is this because the Axis units are still recovering from a particularly harsh winter, or because Sveint is waiting for certain units to build? German reinforcements arrive in Libya.

JUNE 6, 1941

8 MS sunk and 1 U-Boat hit. But the big news is that Barbarossa begins. I count 10 German armour, 4 in the North and 6 in the South. But no Mechanized and no Italians. Each armoured assault force leads spearheads into Russia.

JUNE 20, 1941


In the BOA 6 MS and an escort are sunk and 4 hits are scored on the U-Boats.

A total of 15 Russian Corps have been destroyed over the two turns of Barbarossa and Russian National Morale is at 35% for the Army. Still 30% for the Air force despite the bombing of the poor Finns. The first 3 Russian reserve armies arrive. I notice that all of the Minor Axis air forces have been disbanded.

The North Before, it does not look like Leningrad is a target.

JULY 4, 1941

2 MS sunk, but it costs the Germans 8 U-Boat hits.

Another 5 Russian corps are shattered to be replaced by 5 reserve armies. Russian Army Morale is at 35%.

The South Before. The German Armour have been doing all of the attacking and are starting to show some wear at the end of their supply chains. But in just 3 turns they have almost reached Stalino.

The situation in Libya as British reinforcements slowly trickle in.

JULY 18, 1941

5 more Reserve Armies arrive. I finally feel I am strong enough to try and hold the line in places. Hopefully it won't end in disaster.

The British are finally getting set to attack in Libya. Maybe next turn or the turn after, sometime this year for sure.

AUGUST 1, 1941

The British go on the offensive in Libya. First near Tobruk, where after several attacks the defending German infantry is pushed back.
