I have the Steam version of CMO installed on my rig. I am having difficulty install the Tiny (v1243.3 Beta) update.

All my Steam games are on a separate drive for all the reasons one does that with Steam installs.

It is in D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Command-Modern Operations

I downloaded the Tiny update, then extracted it. I have 7 files: an application (v1.05.00.00), and then six CMO-UpdateComp files, numbered v1.05.00.00.2 through ...7.

I tried running the update application from within the download location and got an error: CMO is not currently installed.

Next, I copied all seven Tiny Update files INTO my CMO Steam directory and ran the update application file. I got the same error: CMO is not currently installed.

How do I get the Tiny Update with my CMO Steam install?

Edited to add: okay, so I logged into steam. I went to My Library, right-clicked CMO and selected "Properties". In that submenu is a selection for "betas". There is a drop-down for Open Betas. I chose that. In just a few seconds my CMO install in my Steam Library shows it is v1297.1 and the Library shows it as Command: Modern Operations (beta).

So...it seems like the way to run an updated beta with a Steam Install is to choose to do so through Steam, NOT by downloading files directly and installing them manually.

I have a similar issue when trying to install the new DLC "Falklands". However, my "Tiny" is not installed in Steam. I get the attached error.

What does this have to do with Tiny ?

Tiny has a different version number. I want to know the work-around for the version number.

Is it possible to group land units? I am playing "Ordeal by Exocet" and I cannot make formations with the infantry units.

Are you in the right part of the forum?

I think so. This is the forum for "Tiny" and the issue is that Tiny appears to have issues loading the new DLC.

I would think you'd get a better response in the general forum or the tech forum. This thread is just an announcement thread. And in the end, how is this specifically related to Tiny?

How about looking down the forum a little where it says tech support. You've been on the forum long enough to be able to figure out context. Tech support is not the 1297.1 release thread.
