Rangoon is out of supply, but we just manage to hold on - Japan prepares a big operation "MULE" to re supply, its worth risking the new CVs. Iyt will conducted under massive LBA fighter cover as well to secure the transports into Rangoon as well as trash any allied surface TF that tries its luck. TFs are being gathered at Singapore but that is low on supply as well as is Bangkok.

P38G Fighters sweep Truk again but suffer a sharp re buff - I know the 4E will be coming soon.

Odd success continues for Jap SS and another interception of ASW ships outside Karachi buy the long Distance raider CL Kage.

2nd May - we are too late Rangoon falls but take 10,000 allied troops with them , how now to get them out.... that's the big plan.

U boat successes in the Indian Ocean.

One I boat also had some success a couple of days ago= 3 TT into this CL.

Dunkirk style... 5th May 43 - Relief of Rangoon, underway

Slight losses 1 x APD and about 4 transports ships a lot of supply is landed...

Now

1. Drop of enough supply.
2. Load weakest units - action is underway, around 8 TF involved. More ships arriving to lift next turn, there are two XX to consider as well but at least they now have supply.
3. Fend off allied air over Rangoon and deploy CV and surface heavy units - just outside to lure the allies and also distract.
Around 150 LBA fighters and the same on CV/ CVE. We think the allied P38 s are resting .

Light air losses and most of these are in China- Weather on 2nd day suited us no flights as bad weather - Thunderstorms tomorrow.

We expect a big reply next turn.

China - large air attacks and prepping to try and take Changsha.

Manus still holds out, some allied AP bombed at ;Ponape.

Well it does not go so well - but the allies lose stuff as well.

Allied LBA was present in even larger numbers than expected Dean says 700 were available.

288 allied aircraft down for my 180 or so over 50 of those lost on CVE sunk by allied surface units.

Ships allies lose 2 CL , 1 CA , 5DD many more damaged and more maybe lost yet, Japanese aircraft from CV and CVL sink several of these.

I lose mainly due to the general failure of MY surface TF x 4 to intercept the allied ones x 3.
So I lost 3 CVE, mainly due to allied surface units, 2 CVL damaged, 1CV damaged, several CA and Cl and DD damaged one CVL Zuiho may yet sink = on 90 fires.

I landed 30 k supplies but most of the transports ships trying to load out were lost 7 Ap types 27 XAK types.

Most important thing is my CV and CVL get to fight again.

So Zuiho CVL and another CVE go down. Very little activity this turn , but we must now interdict the allied build up as much as possible . One good thing the re supplied pocket is putting up an awesome fight.

More land action c 15th May - the supplies seemed to have triggered stalemate and buys me more time. allied air seems on trefit as noit seen now for 4 days.

Manus also holding out but supply is critical and under constant bombardment and bombing.

Japanese and U boats continue with some success - 4 Ships hit this turn including a nice AK, 3 I think sunk.

May 16th 1943

Japan deploys the start of wonder weapons with some success.

more Submarine action - note I hand picked pilots for these ops.

One SS in this group ( Not my Sn carriers) was also sunk this turn by allied ASW.

more rumbling on and plenty of air sub and ASW action off N Coast Australia - they are building up!

End May - allies build ion N OZ. Japan makes big bad land attack in China. allies open airfield in Rangoon (that must be stopped).

2nd June 43 allied convoys try for Rangoon, attacked by Jap LBA with some losses, 3 or 4 transports, Japanese sweeps over Rangoon and airfields raids yield losses to flak, Japanese CV one day away to bag anything that tries for Rangoon. Heavy allied sweeps c 70 P38G over Truk.

Japanese CV runs into 3 x Sub TT as does one of the Escorts. Hope she survives

operations cancelled, allies about to attack from Darwin - they are boasting.7 CVs, 5 CVLS 12 CVES, 9 BBs, 2 BC, 7 cas, 10 Cls, 8 CLAAS, 85 DDs, 7 DEs, my invasion loads today where will i be going

June 7th We bag a big Allied transport - the allies bag several small sully ships, we need to retire as Darwin is about to explode.

So it Begins... Allied forces land on Roti - DEI invasions have begun. Japanese forces rushing to secure other islands.

June 10 43 -

Roti and Manus fall - allied proceeding from Darwin. Firm action needed.
