@Red
am I correct in thinking that if I create a Savannah terrain to replace jungle, that would mean that:
A: it would NOT be scenario specific -- that is, it would replace the name "Jungle" with "Savannah" in every scenario
and
B: would only ocur on my machine.
The way it is done is that the text change you mention is made in a text file that is specific to a given scenario.

If you distribute the scenario, the text file is distributed with it so that when anyone plays the scenario, they'll see the hex identified as "savannah".

However, if you replace the jungle terrain with "savannah", the "savannah" terrain would have the same supply/movement/combat effects as jungle terrain. The only difference would be the name of the terrain type.

Cheers

We got TOAW IV after III, so wouldn't it be possible to add hexside rivers to the game in an Upgrade?
It should not be that hard since familiar objects like enscarpments already exist.
Just need fording equipment to cross super river. Blown bridges would be harder maybe.
Would be great to get rid of the 15km+ wide super rivers that eat up all the hexes in the games I try to create.
