That Turn36 counterattack around Benghazi was a baffling decision: the Axis could have just held ground and forced you to a longer and more costly battle instead of sallying forth from prepared position just to be encircled and destroyed easily...
About the recent breakthrough in the dunes, are you planning on sending the Indians southwest to close the breach?

Turn 36 was probably just an oops. Or perhaps he was trying to break out. I dunno. The Indian reserve was already committed up by the main road against the 21st Panzer. They were not available to move last turn. Maybe this turn.

I'm loving this AAR so far! It will be interesting to see if your opponent is able to break through even after making a few notable blunders.

Really well done AAR. Interesting to follow.
Thank you.
You'd think General O'Conner would have learned by now. Somebody should tell him to stop doing that.

At this point, it is all or nothing for the Axis player right? I am unfamiliar with the scenario so I don't know the victory conditions, but essentially if he doesn't break through your line, he loses?

Right now almost all the victory points are in Commonwealth hands. The Axis player has the initiative however because of shock bonuses and larger numbers. He has to use that to break through and recapture at least some of the victory points that were captured during the initial Commonwealth offensive. Historically the Commonwealth retreated when the Axis offensive was launched by Rommel. I chose to stay and duke it out. Whether that was a good decision or not remains to be seen. I am pretty sure that if I am forced to retreat it will turn into a route pretty quick and the army will probably be destroyed trying to get back to Tobruk.
