Turn 60 - Allied Turn - July 20th 1943
It is 6 Chinese units vs. 6 Japanese units.
My unit have better equipment, but the Chinese have good entrenchment, and the will receive new units.
Maybe I need to transfer some bombers.

Turn 61 - Japanese Turn - July 30th 1943
Lanzhou is surrounded from three sides.
Next turn I will be able to attack with Prepard Attack Bonus, so the city should fall.
Chengdu is under Japanese control.
Just two more cities in the north, and I can start transferring some of my troops to the Pacific.
The Kido Butai is complete again.
2 Super Battleships
7 Battleship
5 Heavy Cruisers
2 Subs
4 Carriers
All equipped with Naval Weapons 2.
Lae is back under Japanese controll.
I did not notice any Allied actions during the AI turn, so there won`t be a Turn 62 post.
Obviously the AI did something, but it is covered by Fog of War.
The American HQ in Buna is under attack by carriers.

Turn 63 - Japanese Side - August 18th 1943
Lanzhou is under Japanese control, and the Chinese government moves to Urumqui.
Just one momre city to go.
Wanting is under attack.
Finally, my bombers destroy the second British Maritime Bomber that interrupted the convoys from Burma to Japan.
A combined attack of all four carriers destroy a US HQ in Buna.
It think there are very few US forces in New Guinea, so they will be somewhere else.
Most likely in amphibs heading to Java.
I have been asked why my carriers inflict so much damage against ground targets.
The reason is experience and overstrength.
In the initial stages of the game, they do less damage.

Turn 64 - August 29th 1943
In the north of China, a Chinese corps takes back Datong which was undefended.
This corps came out of nowhere.. literally.
So I need to send some units up there to deal with the issue.
Maybe I should take all cities in the north to prevent this in the future.

My troops in Lanzhou receive refreshments.
Two units are transferred to the north to deal with the Chinese corps.
No more Chinese troops.
I will transfer all units to the Pacific.
Wanting is under Japanese control. and all involved unit will march to west.
The mission is to capture Ledo.
After numerous recon flights, my Maritime bombers discover an invasion force.
Fortunetly, the first attack hits the enemy HQ, and the second attack sinks it.
That was quite lucky.
An American Tank unit is destroyed by carrier based attacks.

A lone BB is cruising north of New Guinea.

Turn 67 - Japanese Turn - September 28th 1943
I need to capture Ningxia and Datong to make sure no more Chinese units appear.
The 15th Army crosses the border to India.
In History, the attack on Kohima and Imphal failed due to poor supply and lack of troops.
But terrain also is a factor.
This is why I prefer to attack Ledo directly.
Supply is much better there.
The fight for Java has startet.
It was very lucky that I destroyed the enemy HQ.
So it will be much easier.
A US BB is sunk by subs, maritime bombers and a CA.
Lae is back under Japanese control.

Turn 69 - Japanese Side - October 18th 1943
Ningxia and Datong are (back) under Japanese control.
This should bring an end to organized Chinese activities.
The country won`t surrender, but I expect no major attacks from now on.
Japanese units reach Ledo.
At the moment, the city is occupied by a garrison.
Let`s see if the AI reacts.
Also, Allied forces loose a corps and a Strategic bomber.
My forces destroy another US unit.
Port Moresby is captured.
The port is badly damaged, and it will take a while before I can use it.

Turn 71 - Japanese Turn - November 7th 1943
The carrier Soryu is back to Japan.
It has earned 3 EXP Stars, and I will bring it to strength 13.
This will take a while, but it will be a special unit at STR 13.
I need to take back my units from Ledo, supply is too bad.
Wanting has delivered supply 3 at the moment, and I will attack Ledo against once I have better supply.
Allied forces loose a tank group and another Strat. Bomber.
I have bad supply in Java as well.
Not quite sure how to solve this.
Some forces from China gather and prepare an attack on Rabaul.
Once this is taken back, they will head for Australia.
At the moment, I have 29 Sea Units.
The Allied have 31. It is just the question where they will strike next.

Turn 73 - Japanese Turn - November 27th 1943
There was a small crisis in Burma.
The Japanese 15th Army was cut of from supply by advancing US troops.
The supply was at zero.
A combined action of bombers, infantry and paras destroyed the US unit.
Supply will be at 3 next turn, so the unit is reliefed.
A British sub takes heavy damage and retreats.
Japanese troops in Java advance.
Maritime Bombers spot a US sub.
It takes light damage.
I will start an attack on Rabaul next turn.

Ledo is captured by the 16th Japanese Army.
Allied losses are one Mechanized and two corps.
This is a big step ahead, my HQ will be in Ledo in Turn 77.
US invasion forces loose another unit.
If I can occupy Bandoeng in Turn 77, I will have much better supply.
The Retake of Rabaul will start in Turn 77.

Turn 77 - Japanese Turn - January 6th 1944
My troops advance in north eastern India.
Ledo is occupied by Okamura`s HQ, so I have good supply.
The Allied side has high losses, two corps and Med. Bomber.
Japanese forces capture Bandoeng and Padang.
The US invasion has definitely failed.
The Retake of Rabauls starts.
Due to the bad weather I had difficulties to destroy a US Garrison.

Turn 78 - Allied Side - January 16th 1944
One of my DDs is attacked by four british ships.
That was lucky.
But I need to sink one of the enemy vessels that surround the DD, or I will not be able to withdraw it.
US troops try to escape to the east.
I need to advance quicker to make sure to my garrison is not overrun.

Turn 79 - Japanese Turn - January 26th 1944
My troops in India are exhausted and need a break.
I will refresh all units in Turn 81.
Okamura is in Ledo and has Delivered Supply 8, so most of Japanese units have good supply.
Combined attacks by an Escort Carrier, a Maritime Bomber and a DD sink the British DD.
The heavily damaged Japanese DD returns to Singapore.
A Tactical Bomber is destroyed.
Just a few more turns, and Java is back under Japanese control.
Similar situation in Rabaul.
Just one enemy unit left.
I will start prepararions for an invasion of Australia next turn.
It will hit Cairns and Townsville simultaneously.

Turn 80 - Allied Turn - February 5th 1944
Allied forces gather in North Eastern India.
Allied vessels start to raid Japanese convoys.
One British CL is ambushed by a Japanese CA.
The CA is damaged by a US sub.
Maybe I will send a carrier from Japan.
