Trying to set up the mg in-game
Wish I had more help... This is all trial and error in the dark..
So I made the weapons in the resources 3d custom file
Pointed to it by saying mg34 to weapon 1 in the database
Set up the weapon one model as the mg34s (shield)
Then got 2 diff placeholders instead of my StuG models!

So this time the latest model works, didn't change anything and the gun is back where it should be... But the. Rundumsfeuer MG has yet to appear...
Has the new tower and MG shield, a, back wheels , drivers viewport lower shield and three different StuG versions
And is still unpainted!!

Made a new MG model for the Breda-Safat MG and texture from RL pictures

new Bredat Safat 3D model and textures from real life examples

the two top front plates are from the Golan wreck as is the sauenkopf
rear with number from movie in 1956

here is the code for the new msg
So you just call it… ‘weapon’ in blender
The green name is for info as it is not read by AB2
Then in the database set a mg34 as weapon one slot (which will use the sec_wpn_1 slot set up in blender), next right screen in database says what 3d model is used on said weapon_1 slot give it the name of the model, here mg34s, from the resources_custom_3d file. Texture is from real life photos.

The (always nearly) final Stug III with rundumsfeuer MG34 in game
as it is its own weapon it really should be able to rotate and fire at targets in a 360° angle

MG moves !!! will have to reduce its arc as the shield really was just hinged and the MG could move a bit in the opening

Back on Tsahal side
I decided to work on modifying the AB2 "unknown half-track model"
So as to have a lighter model
The HMG will be its own weapon model, then we can have two sec weapons and the one next to the driver is the coax.
Israeli half-tracks had also 20, 57, or 90 mm guns installed!
Saw a convoy of four with two sporting the 20mm gun instead of a HMG.
So being able to insert outside weapons models is nice, also means they can rotate which the devs weapons don't
