The Dutch fleet is overrun, but all ships escape the CA Sumatra that is destroyed (8,7,7,3,9).
The ships must now flee Rotterdam. Will they do so individually or together, and to what port(s) (The SUB go by itself)?

Individually. Sub to Gibraltar. Others to Liverpool.
Re: The Wildfire Spreads (5-player game)
The German force intercepts the Dutch CP (1).
I assumed that Allies would exclude the French SUB, and not add any air. But now I realise that it could make a difference. So will Allies add the SUB for the CP, or any of the cruisers? And will they add any air?

The CP is intercepted, and sinks (Axis 1, Allies 3).

The CA Java is intercepted, and sunk (Axis 2, Allies 9), (Die roller not used since it is automatic)

CA De Ruyter escapes (7 rolled).
I put the CA in Plymouth since Liverpool is previously occupied by a Polish ship.

Impulse #8 (Allies)
No DOW.
Actions:
Land: China
Naval: CW
Comb: French, USSR, US
Naval Air: TB to 1 box CSV
Naval Movement: too many to list.
Allies searching North Sea, no Allied air reaction.
Axis have air reaction options?

Re: The Wildfire Spreads (5-player game)
Major, I have a strategy question for you if you're willing to share.
I was wondering why you left the North Sea so open, Rotterdam so vulnerable to amph assisted capture and thus Netherlands so vulnerable to an early total axis conquest.
Was that intentional as bait to get a 50% shot to do real damage to the KM?
Also, is the French sub there to allow the French to initiate a search in a later impulse in case you fail to find this impulse?

Re: The Wildfire Spreads (5-player game)
No particular reason, Netherlands falls either way. I understand the implications but I don't mind the Dutch CP & trans early and I generally don't support Rotterdam with CW troops given some bad experiences. Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake though.rkr1958 wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 12:07 pm Major, I have a strategy question for you if you're willing to share.
