Among numerous weak units I still have few very stron ones, so I have reverted to check-board set-up accepting possible small encirclements to prevent deep penetration north of Stalino.

One more week to mud, so despite being very week in Kursk-Orel area I decided to take my chances and retreat as little as possible aiming to holding to Bryansk and Kursk.

Fortunatelly panzers are spread out, so I will be able to withdstand pressure in Stalino's direction. Only reall loss would be Kharkov.

Great success in the north, no significant losses although most of existing units are of low quality.

I managed to succesfully defend Bryansk and Kursk, so after few turns of mud I should be in good position to keep it over the course of snow period.

Good sitiation in the south, only concern is Crimea and poor quality of troops there.

That part of the front wasn't signifnicantly strenghtened. I don't expect any meaningfull developments here.

3 muddy weeks gave me opportunity to rebuild coherent defensive line bewteen Bryansk and Kursk. This is part of front that is currently prioritised.

I have managed to assemble 5 stacks of strong units to direcly oppose German panzers threating Stalino from the west.
I hope I am not wrong, but supporting thrust from south-west doesn't look strong enough to pierce much weaker defences there. I should be able to hold on to the city.

Minor attack by German forces to stablisie their defensive positions.

Center

Gradual pressure across central part of the front. I have too say to I underestimated cumulative effect of multiple successful deliberate attacks. Quality of Soviet army deteriorates every turn.

Germans eploying same tactics and I gradully yield land.
In the south I rushed new reinforcments to stenghted my foreces defening Sevastopol.

Most active part of front streches from Bryanks to Kursk. City of Kursk is serisouly threatened so most of new arrivals is sent here.

I almost run out of strong divisions in the south. Winter can't come too soon.

Both sides are waiting for witnter. Only 1 more turn of snow left.

I am geting really concerned. I expected my forces to by in much better shape, i fear winter won't bring any meaningfull successes.

Most of cavlary units were concentrated in Bryank-Kursk area. I intend to take advantege of clear terrain to inflict maximum damage on German panzers.

My forces in the south are really weak. Germans do not have strong defensive positions, yet I fear that my that whatever they have might be enough.

Most of summer and autumn I was under impression I was doing really well avoiding encirclenets and not conceeding too much terrain, yet here I am 3.5M losses and poor quality troops across the front.
