Situation for Japan: I've been too hasty and received a bloody nose at Rangoon.
For now we are on the defensive pending conclusion of three operations:
a) China railroads almost cleared
b) Phillipines (reinforced so should fall)
c) gathering of forces for the next offensive
It really seems I have to pace myself better.

Situation for Allies.
1. I got lucky in Burma as Sveint allowed me to get the crucial 1st victory which broke his main army. (I think I actually overcommitted to Burma and Sveint didnt realise that the 254th Ard spearhead was there until it was to late.)
I have decided not to pursue as disruption got alarmingly high alarmingly quickly.
2. China is a total disaster I avoided the Sian Langchow death march by the skin of my teeth.
3. Java is looking ok but I expect the hammer to fall there to allow Sveint to secure Palembang's oil.
4. SOPAC not looking to hot
5. Phillipines is OK but having lost track of a couple of the Malaya Divisions I expect a major assault soon.
6. Aus NZ are secure as is India (IMHO)
7. Very Very nervous about my convoys on route from Weast Coast. I have several US CV's doing nothing but shepherding convoys and lots of PBY's on island bases watching for an IJN incursion.
Overall I am reasonably happy.
Sveint got unlucky in Burma but is pushing forward everywhere else. At sea my successes have been against his battle line with most of them needing at least some yard time.
My main area of concern is that my disasters in China will give sveint two orhree large experienced formations plus the fully rested Malayan Divisions plus I suspect several key formations from Phillipines for the next stage.
Basically Sveint will have enough land power to overpower Java and Burma these two locations for me are the key to victory. If Sveint rolls over them quickly he will have time to give me a really torrid time. If I can tangle him up there then it could get interesting.
My 1st Class A fighters arrive in late June (Spitfire VB's)
Until then I need to hold on and try and bleed his experienced air power.

Damm my ML got sunk before it could dump its load
On the other hand Kirishma ate a torpedo as did Kongo that may be enough to finish Kongo.
Also an air raid got decimated over Rangoon I expect Zeros any day now.
China is looking very very bad with Wuchow attacked by 300k+ IJA troops I have no idea how it held.
It will fall soon though

Wuchow is simply a 2 day battle. If losses weren't at a 4 to 1 ratio you could call it a victory. [:)]

The remnants of force P have arrived in port where it will be dibanded for repairs.
Sveints dedication to bombarding Rangoon has me worried.
I expect to see mini KB or a fighter cap over any future bombardment runs as the RAF has had some success bombing his BB's.
I will need to comne up with a way of stopping an IJN carrier incursion to the Bay of Bengal as this is the logical next step.
Not knowing where his CV strike force is has me really worried.
I dont think my LBA is sufficient to stop him yet.

dry him out ! no fuel, no fleet movements.
main problem is that he isnt a sailor and therefore he doesnt need much fuel oil. if I look at my pbem, I rarely see any major ships at all of him, the few CL's he have sent sometimes are on the bottom of the sea already [:D]
well, intresting reading and I am learning [;)]

Haha, you're right on that account Oliver. Did we want to start an AAR for our game too?
hmmmm, my english isnt good enough to express myself on this issue. I try it.
one the one hand, I really love our game. I have sooooooooo much fun with it, I am out of words [:)] and I love to read some AAR's here, and this one is one of my favs.
some are crap, some are really like a book where you just cant stop reading.
on the other hand : I read those pbem's carefully - it gives me ideas and inspiration for my ongoing battles. If I contribute to an AAR, it is dangerous that I give a way my ideas, my thoughts my tacticts rtc.
for example : in one AAR, a person posted his picturs. OK, good for the reader like me
[:)] BUT it reveals where I am NOT too to my opponent if I would have posted the picture.
OK you might say, a pic is a pic...but the uncertainity of my naval TF's is the intresting aspect for the enemy...if I show alot of empty sea hexes to my opponent, he knows that I am not there and he might to try it out.....when the uncertainity is there, things look different to you.
thats the reason why I see a AAR negative [:)]
hope it is clear enough [:'(]

Well you don't have to say anything until AFTER the fights. No need to say where you fleets are until they've encountered the enemy.

I am running away in China again just ahead of the monstrous army assembled by the IJA.
Two citioes abandoned n the south to avoid envelopment...
XP rising for my FB's around Rangoon.
Heavy Bombers on the move to stop them getting bombarded (alhough Sveints Battle line has taken a beating which may force him to save bombardments for really important fights)

Looks like a mixed turn for the allies.
I got cocky with the Repulse BG and managed to lose a BC.
That is not good.
Indications are over 100 IJN ships at Singapore going to try some night bombing see how it goes as Palembang looks lkike its toast for now.
I figure Sveint has to neutralise Java and quick or else I will base lots of heavies there and pound him in Borneo / Malaya and Sumatra.
Its risky for me to commit to hold Java as well as Burma but I may just try it.
Andy.

Well the night attack on Singapore worked a treat.
Not much in the way of damage but 40 allied bombers destroyed some Betties on the ground put a bomb in an IJN BB and damaged the repair facilities .
Not a bad nights work.
Sveint is going to have to retaliate soon.
I need to watch out for a bombardment run on either Soerbijo or Batavia.

Oliver I figure given the lesson Sveint just suffered in his game with Mogami he will use the IJN far more aggresively.
I dont know about your game I have hardly seen an IJN CV all game.
I figure that is about to change and I am very nervouse about India/ Burma and Java at the moment.

Actually it's funny, the KB has been active all the time. Just has never been any targets for it to sink. And before Java there have been no serious LBA opposition.
The fight for Java will start soon though.
