I got the full unit off on lahania with some supplies. I reduced manilla to size 0 fort finally! I have alot of ships down i have to come together with a plan to use lahania to if not take PH but to make it useless to the enemy.

A bit of a action at lahaina again one of my battleships is pretty dinged up but i sunk 4 of his DD's. His battlefleet won't be much good if i can keep sinking all his dd's. though my battle fleet wont be much good because they have all sunk. Once i can take lahania by the end of the week i'll have a safe harbor for my boys to relax at and hopefully stop the massive sinking of my ships! If not by god i'll fight until the last man.

Well another couple turns and i should have lahaina but a little too late. The us offered me terms for withdrawaling from us hawaain islands. But i think he only did that because hes still scared. So i guess i'll stay for now. What player would offer 10 divisions a chance to escape destruction??

I seem to think my invasion of PH was a failure but my opponent has other ideas.

I reduced it to level 4 forts in the last attack but my AP is down from 1600 at start to 300+ but somehow i am still reducing it. If thats the case perhaps i'm hurting him just as bad as i am being hurt. If i can take lahaina and then get another couple divisions on PH perhaps i can take the island??

i would guess that if he's scared then his navy is too banged up to oppose a second push by you. after you take the phillippines is there anything else for you to do? even though your whole invasion turned into a bloody mess likely you can still pull it off and although it'l be a little rough to keep supplied, as long as you get enough time to fortify you will be able to bloody him as bad (if not a lot worse) than you got when you took PH. bring in a massive pile of shore batteries and most of your subs and you won't need your navy to defend it - i would think right now you need some quality drydock time for your BB's!

since you'v gone this far and chances are you might want to try to pull this off again in the future you might as well try to learn all the lessons you can this time to pull it off right the next time!

Sound advice Flanker. I have 7 BB's that are all predreadnoughts coming into theater i will use them to try to push them out. I offered him terms to remove his troops he he decided to abandon the area. getting PH would be a godsend though since i could put the 8 BB's that are in danger into drydock! Then in about 200 days those units will be rebuilt and upto 1600 AP again

Well no real combat this turn. I took HIlo though. I will take lahania in a few days. If i don't the 14th division will land on it anyway. Once i can get that i'll get 8 bb's into Drydock and move an AR down to lahaina to try and patch them up. Then i must take PH. There is no chance of these ships making it back out west without being patched up in PH. 2 large convoys left tokyo today with 75k FUEL and 100k supplies to keep the invasion going strong.


I'm going to keep pushing. Hopefully we can break their spirits. Billy commented on out his bb's are banged up but they are not out of commission so hopefully he'll commit some more and lose them in my next wave. This is a good learning experience though next time i take PH i will not want to pay such a high cost.

i don't look at billy's comments until after i'm way ahead in bwheatley's because i'm going japan all the way here and i like being in the dark as to what's going on on the other side! had i actually known what was currently going on with the usa i would never have commented because i don't want to ruin anything for either side!

feel free to comment. I'll be happy when pzb gets his new computer i'm itching to see if he tries to invade me. Using some of the techniques i've learned from billys defense of pearl. If i had been smarter with my ship layout following the recommendations of the devs i would have done better i think.

But i was balls to the wind so it was not the perfect outcome. I hope i can get pearl and destroy those units on the ground it would make up some ground for me. I'm at 1000+ for lost ships But i am still winning but just barely. If i can take pearl i'll have a hefty jump. Once i free up PI troops i'll have 8 more divisions freed up for operations. But they are all pretty shot in PI so they will take like 20 days or so to rest per division.


Does anyone have any other goals? I dont think i really have to go for the SRA and its alot stronger then in WITP much more units and much more ability to defend it. I don't have the type of ground units i need to hold that ground so i don't want to commit myself any farther then i need. In fact that being said i'd be happy to leave this a us vs japan war.

I can't cut off the US lifeline to australia without going global since all the bases are french or british or dutch etc.

i Certainly can't invade the US

I'm thinking after that shift to the defensive. Unless someone can help me put together an operational plan for another goal.

Lahaina fell this morning and all ships that are in need of drydock have moved forward. A TF with an AD & AS & AR is on the way to make lahaina a hub for destroyers and Sub warfare they should arrive from kwaleijn (sp) in a week or so. Also my transport force with my CD and such landed at lahaina today. That TF also had 4BB they are being sent on a night raid of PH the commander is very good at his job but is cautious with only 53 aggression. I don't need to sink them in this fight just need to make them realize they have to leave PH.

Also how much does an AR repair per turn does anyone know?

Either way i am very excited it was a good day today. A dedicated attack has been ordered again hopefully i can drop the fort to 3 this time. Manilla still holds though i'm getting decent odds.

I dont know the fall of lahaina is making me happy today. I dont mind that i've lost 200+ ships . Also the 14th division (i think 14th) pulled into lahaina today as she fell so its nice to know i didnt need them. Now i can just start fast transporting in reinforcements or force off your bb's. 4 new first line bb's came into lahania today now i can finally raid you everynight and can put in a low aggressiion commander to just hit you a bit and leave. I can afford to play the waiting game. By my schedule you have another new cav division i'm curious if you have the PP to ship it to PH though but i have a sub screen to hopefully hit a few of the transports. Any man killed in the ocean is a man who wont hold a gun on pearl .

Thanks to your confidence in me i think i can take pearl. As i said the war will be won or lost at PH. Thankfully an AR & AD & AS landed in lahania with the troops so i have a place to repair. Does a AR repair much or just patch it up good enough to get back to a real port?

Any LCUs that are on Pearl will be destroyed. I will stop at nothing. I found 5 more divisions that are just sitting around on mainland japan where i didnt look and bonin. They have commenced loading in 2-3 weeks i will have another 1200 AP on the ground. I'm hoping you stay to fight it out i want to repay you for the spanking you've given me so far *grin*

Does a AR repair much or just patch it up good enough to get back to a real port?

AR has bigger effect in bigger ports. Thechnically one AR ship increase port size by one. Naval HQ will increase portsize by (HQ support points)/100. Leader with high admin rating is aslo very recommended. All these just to get rid of floating damage. You still need repar shipyards for the faster repair.

I'm new to this but...just some observations.

Pearl Harbor seems like a hell of a supply line to hold. Looking at the strat map you have most of the islands in between, but you can't be escorting your forces very well with the losses you've taken. Maybe it's not so bad since from the looks of it you've given his navy a hell of a bloody nose and he's more concerned with holding back your land units at PH. Are you having any trouble with sustaining your forces at PH bwheatley? Seems like your opponent could really make things tough with subs and a handfull of DDs and some mines.

The units in tokyo are being loaded onto transports and heading for PH another couple thousand AP should overpower the new RGT & DIV he is sending to PH.

Excellent points Vertical. He's given me a hell of a time with subs. But with the capture of lahaina i have a safe harbor at least which will keep him from picking off strays now. My inf units on PH have been worn down but i'm still wearing away at him too. He got his forts back upto level 5. So what i will be doing is using about 25 Destroyers to fast transport units onto PH that should fall into place in a few weeks and then i'll be able to ferry over 2000+ ap which he should have no chance against. My units on Pearl i droped with ample supply they still have around 60k supply and are good for a longggg time .

I should have done things alot more differently but we will see. Yes DD's are excellent raiding ships i've blooded a few of them with my subs screened out around PH hopefully i can sink some of his incoming transport ships bringing supplies and reinforcements.
