Can I ask what is the difference between the old and the latest design templates? I haven't noticed any, but I haven't checked them all.

Check the patch notes of the Universe updates, these have been applied, and where necessary to extended races also.

Is it just very likely you start with those resources (polymer+chromium+carbon fibre) or do certain races always get them or something?

Probably to do with the races starting planet type and chances of them resources on that planet.

Sounds like he's starting on a continental planet. Since Universe changed up the resources, those priority resources that used to be found only on marshy swamps on are now quite common on continentals aswell.

A giant space base catapulted a mediocre power into a leading military rating. Checked to find the unit in game, but don't understand enough more than that to fix it in the file or in game, assuming I knew what the fix would be.

Hello, I am new to the forum. Nice to see there is an active community. Going to try the mod and see what the new races add to the gameplay.

They add a lot, but it is hard to keep them all straight at first - the added description in the mod helps go beyond the stats in giving an impression of each of them. My main interest is the general strategy and playstyle.

Q for Haree78 - is there a list of substantive changes to the original races made by the Extended Mod?

There is none, that is the point of Extended, you can plug this mod in and if you know the base game it is exactly the same + more fun stuff. Most extensive and only change to original races, new artwork.

Haree, I just wanted to say that I've been playing your mod for quite a while although I only just bothered to register to the forums today.

Easily the best DW mod out there, and makes the game quite a bit more interesting. Your approach of adding new races only so far as that they actually add flavor and feel different(rather than just for the sake of adding more races) is a great policy, and I only see this mod getting better as more modding features are added.

Thanks for hours and hours of fun, you're awesome.

Especially since the base game is already so solid. I would say DW Extended is like the icing on the cake, but frankly it's like a whole new layer of even better cake on top of some already pretty damned delicious cake.

Short answer is no.

I maaaaaay look at if it improves the game to give races a pre warp research sequence so they don't make bad moves, but more than likely I will leave as it is. My changes to the base game have always meant to be next to none.

first thanks for your mod, its awesome addition to the game!

I have request/question? could you please put some consolidated information with pictures on forums/wiki? It would be great thing to be able to acess to all race details not only ingame.
also if you could please add more detailed descriptions, this helps immersion..


I am planning on starting Race-specific Soundtrack Diversity mod (which will base on Extended mod race set), and it would be great to have information gathered on some resource.

I NEED HELP! When I play this awesome mod my refuel button does not work! And they will not refuel any other way either! This is a game breaker and its ruining this mod for me, any help would be much appreciated!
