Here's the West side now. I think I've found a weak spot. If I take down that rearguard unit then the path will be open to the German
rear areas. Maybe. We'll have to develop the battlefield and see where the dynamics go.

T73 front lines. More of the same really. Still advancing, finding German positions, looking for weak spots.

I have overcome a rearguard position and the way seems open to advance again. I need to send some recon into the NW area to see
what lives up there. I'm expecting some more Germans somewhere in there to hold the Gothic Line extending to the west.

I'm going through the OOB moving units and all of a sudden I got an RBC and overcame another rearguard and another way has opened
to the German rear areas. So much for the Gothic Line. I'm going to have to move a bunch of engineers up here to repair all those
broken bridges and repair the rail so we can push further north faster.

The railhead on the West side is getting really close to the Arno river. Time to switch these RR engineers to the East side.

Here's how the air war is going right now.

And here's what the East side looks like now. I defeated one roadblock and now have another further north to contend w/. I'm going to
switch the RR engineers to this side to boost the supply level to a higher level. The other engineers are to go to the West side to
repair all those busted bridges. And THEN start working on the rails on the West side.

Here's the T75 front lines. I'm advancing on the coasts and locked in combat in the middle. I suspect I'll be mopping up in the middle
for a while. I need, meanwhile, to repair the rail headed north and NE from the Arno river area. The railhead is already at the Arno on
the West coast and I can switch the RR engineers after about 5 turns or so from the East side to the West side to help out in repairing
the rail headed NE.

I've discovered that the application of a lot of CS has allowed my partisans to survive German attacks. Here's a situation where I've
parked a partisan on a broken bridge and dug it in ( 'F' ) and sure enough pretty soon there's a German engineer unit here to repair
the bridge and alas, it's occupiedo. So soon after the engineers show up there was the appearance of some German combat units to
attack the partisan and each attack causes about 8% losses to the Axis and none to the Allies. Pretty cool. A human would bring a
bigger force or try a flank attack or something. Not the same attack over and over failing each time.

T76 front lines. A small victory on the East side and I'm on the move again. I've switched the RR engineers to the East side to give the
supply level a small future boost. The other engineers are on the West side repairing bridges and repairing rail headed north.

Here's the West side now. I'm doing mop up on the coast and toward the middle I'm doing fire and maneuvor and trying to get the
weak spot(s) to expose themselves. Lots of movement toward the north. I'm joining areas that partisans have converted which makes
the supply spread increase toward the north and west. That's confusing.......I should do a picture of that.

Here's the T77 front lines. I'm clearing hexes and moving north on the East side and mopping up and moving north on the West side and
in the middle I'm locked in combat. I've found several weak spots and I'm pressing on them. Progress is being made.[:'(]

Here's the East side now. I've thrust out a brave unit out into enemy territory to cut off a lot of German units from their supply. I'm
thinking they will be easier to take down now. So we'll start doing mop up soon. And other units will press further north.

T78 front lines. I have completed the mop up on the West side so the units there are pressing north and splitting off to clear to the West.
Some German units are starting to move into the area I'm entering on the West side. I get the impression all the defenders were off to
the West somewhere and they are late getting to the game.

And now for something completely different. One of my readers wanted me to playtest the Papua scenario and I got curious about it
and took a look and I discovered that it's a "PBEM only" kind of scenario which implies that there's no PO for either side. And I'm so
new at scenario design that I'm not sure I know how to give the PO some objectives and some tracks to follow etc. But I can try I guess.
I'll let you know how it's going etc.

I'm curious myself. Do you have a sal file from around turn 72-75 ?

T79 front lines. I made a sort of breakthrough on the East side. It appears to be clear sailing for as far as the binoculars can see.
Too bad the supply level is so low I could really see me doing a Patton to all that clear terrain.
