In real life

And how does that have any bearing on this AAR?

Perhaps more relative bearing grease is needed!

For everyone's edification, I attach a picture of a real member of the WRNS.

Wait a minute. Is her hair regulation?

Now that you mention it, she looks a bit young to be a full Commander, too.

Hey, you don't think she could be a spy for those wily LYBs, do you? Perhaps someone should go "undercover" with her and investigate?

As the old Persian proverb says, "beware of relatives bearing grease". [:-]

While there is value in sinking the Jap transports, the P-38 losses are unsustainable. Some of the squadrons are down to 4 planes. We will need to back-convert one or two squadrons to another airframe and consolidate. The P-38F's are out of production and we can't waste a month's supply of P-38G's in one day. Also, Burma will need some P-38's too. The SBD's at Exmouth are now a much greater threat to LYB shipping. We did rid the area of 10 more LYB carreir Zeroes.

If you were swimming in the deep blue ocean after sinking you would be very concerned about any new species of Elasmobranchs .. particularly ones with sharp pointy teeth and a disposition to match .. . Ask the boys from the Indianapolis ..[:'(]

My Dearest Spri;

I hope the monsoon season finds you well. Reagrding the flow of replacement USAAF aircraft in the PTO and CBI, I propose that we continue to take replacements of P-38's and B-25/B-24/B-17G chiefly in Australia, with filling out of the Tenth Air Force squadrons after the attack on Darwn. Of course, you can take all the new, swanky P-36's you want. I think we are going to need to fill out the transport squadrons in Austrlaia as well, if we are to use them in para operations. There should be plenty of well-trained fighters pilots available.

Also, what do you think of the idea of using the B-24's and RAF Liberators to suppress the Jap airfields in Burma so we can get the transports safely into Ledo again? Let me know if you chaps need any quinine. We are running short of limes down here. If you have some it would be splendid.

Oh, yes, do you have any submarine operations books or pamphlets? I'm getting a bit of pressure from Adm. King on the denial of resources to Japan or some such thing.

Yours in perpetual servitude;

Admiral of the Fleet Mandrake

Mai Tai Club,
French Polynesia

My Dearest Cap,

Yes, The monsoon season is in full swing over here, enclosed is a pihoto of the domestic staff popping out for comestibles.

Of course we in SEAC are all for bombing Johny Jap's aerodromes, we will send the heavies against them and move the transports back to Ledo, their bombers never did turn up. We're good for quinine and limes thank you and please don't send any more of that bloody awful "Spam". Would you like some Bully Beef sending over?

We did find a facsimile of a submarine manual, please find it attached.

We are entirely in agreement that most of your modern fighter output should be diverted to Australia as that is currently our main theatre.

Yours semi-affectionately

Admiral Lord SPri

PS. Ffion says hello and can you send some of those nylon stockings over?
