The Final was utter crap. No one deserved to win. In the end Spain played good against Germans so they deserve the championship.

Now that the thing is over, I want to share something I read on the internet and that made me laugh a lot:
A brief history of Dutch football.
1974: Total football. Johann Cruyff.
2010: Total thuggery. Mark van Bommel. [:D]
The problem with this new Dutch "approach" (aka brutal game) is that in fact the coach or someone else might say "we could have won after all". And it's true. They were far more dangerous than Germany. So, and it's rather ironic, maybe this match is the last nail in the coffin of traditional Dutch football.

Wait....
taken off...
Hummmm...not, sorry, but I don't think Spain played as unfair as Dutch. I'm currently reading some online newspapers as Washington Post and Corriere della Sera, and I left here a quote of the first:
"Spain was hardly innocent but nothing compared to the Oranje. "

Spain was the only team trying to play football. Holland's thuggery and brutality got what it deserved in the end.
Rinus Michels must be turning in his grave with the new Dutch football.

As a matter of fact they were playing as hard and as unfair as the Dutch but not so openly brutal.
Take off your Spanish glasses and watch the game again from a neutral point of view.

Well I watched it initially from a Dutch point of view but ended up wanting Spain because of the Dutch thuggery. How you can say Spain were in the same unsporting league is quite beyond me?
Spain at least were trying to play football - I am amazed you saw it so differently...anyone would think it had something to do with Spain beating Germany in the semi-final and you having German glasses on....[:D]
If you want a thuggish tackle to moan about - try Brehme on Gascoigne [X(] in the 1990 semi-final (a straight red if ever a tackle deserved one.....but nothing given). That was far worse than anything Spain were guilty of last night.
Congratulations Spain - worthy World Cup winners indeed.

Sorry, but your inlogic. Why should I want the Netherlands to become champion, when Spain won against Germany? It is much cooler to say, hey, see, we could have been second, because the other poor guys also lost against them.
Spain was almost as unfair as the Dutch. They didn´t have so many provoking brutal fouls, but neverthelass, their type of playing simply contains the stepping on foot, ellbowing, claiming cards, shouting at referee, diving.
They played in a more fair way as the Dutch, but the Spanish had also a very very low degree of fairness.

Because if Spain doesn't deserve the title, and Netherlands doesn't deserve the title, who deserved the title? Germany. Pretty obvious what you're trying to do this. [;)]

Here we have all the divings and elbowing and stepping on foot that the spanish players did.
As we can see, all the spanish players were actually trying to hurt the Netherlands players' feet with their shins and knees, and in a particular case, with their chests, and then, they dived in order to get the referee to call some card on a innocent dutch player. Shame on Spain I say!!!
More seriously: I long seeing a Germany vs Netherlands, and how some will say then that complaining to the referee is a right when the referee simply doesn't do his f-----g job, and how answering with some fouls is inavoidable when that referee allows EVERYTHING. (Not to talk of that LOL moment when some dutch player made a devolution of the ball in which he tried to actually score a goal, just in case).
