I love Emily! She is very flexible. You can do all kinds of stuff with her, naval search, troop transport, torpedo attacks, even long range strategic bombing if you are so inclined.

Emily starts production today...but I don't think you can strategic bomb with patrols (no city attack option). But they are very good planes. Not sad about having a size 30 factory right now.[;)]
I was trying to be a smartass [:D]. Emily is a great asset to have. I can't remember the handle, but there was that one fellow who figured all you needed were Emily's to win the war. [8|]
Looking forward to seeing how your December plans go Lowpe.

Commander Stormwolf.
Emily was the Japanese B-29, apparently.

It is the beginning of July, and the last turn done in haste left an opening that Jocke exploited.
I accidentally switched the Nells that were on naval search to ground bombing by the select all button.[:-] This left a narrow corridor for Allied cruisers to hit Chitt....finding several IJN destroyer squadrons (that fought very well, no losses), but he also caught the supply convoy that was probably only about 2/3 unloaded sinking them all.
It isn't all bad, because I want Jocke to commit forces here...and that was a pretty good incentive.
During the day the squadron of Betties and 75 escorts don't fly, which is just as well against CL and DD which are tough to hit.
I believe I sank one destroyer...for the loss of several xak and pbs.
Ground forces march into Bataan today...to clean up the 40K Allied soldiers starving there. Next up is finishing Ledo.

First week of July, 1942
We have managed to get some sweeps in against Jocke, in Vancouver a couple of days ago with heavy losses for both sides, and here at Calcutta...again heavy losses for both sides.

Nicks do really well...sweeping an already fatigued fighter defense.

I have a long way to go to grind Jockes airforce down...he is quite cautious with them. IJA pilots are not hand picked ...they are just run of the mill trained guys. I will start to put together some high experience elites in the Tojo IIa and the A6M3a that will come along shortly.

Here is a freshly arrived Tojo IIa squadron for the Indian Theater...you can see the pilots are fresh from the training programs.
These guys don't have a lot of missions under their belts, but I suspect Jocke will pull back and fight only in one off festungs trying to trap my planes.

Push him into committing assets ... that's what the IJ needs to do until mid-'43 ...

Your new Tojo group needs more training in Strafing to raise Defend skill and overall Experience skill. The Defend skill is important for pilot survivability.

Thanks ny59giants...those pilots are all being swapped out for frontline high experience pilots since the Tojo IIa is my best fighter. Still waiting on 10 more planes to fill out the squadron...
Here is a look at the potential A6M3 squadrons, only four.[&:] But we will convert all but the monster training squadron that Olorin made back in the HI.

First week of July...
Sees Vancouver heavily bombed...fires were really burning, but no strategic VP. Sigh.

Oscar IIa and Tojo IIa make their first combat appearances in India...no opposition.
Here, we take down a very good sized armored unit. Why in the world would Jocke expose them like this? I wish I knew what the AFVs were...starting war trash I suspect.

IJA Tankers race and down and destroy some cowardly Commonwealth troops...these troops have no honor and surrendered.

I had six squadrons of bombers hit Vancouver...and there were plenty of manpower hits, but the fires don't seem to destroy anything.
I am going to switch to Seattle in a couple of days and keep up a steady manpower attack in the hopes of eventually burning down some of those plane factories.

Hijinx in India...
The 8th Tank Rgt just arrived at Chitt adding to our woefully weak tank presence here.

Forts were level 3, now they are two after our first attack. 1-1 odds. Shouldn't be long, and a testimony to the importance of building forts.

50th, 254th, and 255th Armoured Brigades are the three big tank formations that you will face in India in '42. It will take until sometime in '43 before they all have upgraded to General Lee tanks. Add in the '43 Rifle squads and they become potent at just over 200 AV.
