Despite the bad weather the japanese simply didn't want to give up...now that the navies had ended their mortal dances, it was again the moment of the air forces to tangle...

Early in the morning arrived the american CAP from Hakodate...saluted by the waves and hurrahs from the beaches...

But with them arrived also a wave of japanese Navy planes...

The battles raged for 30 minutes and despite the efforts, despite the heroism shown the americans pilot couldn't overcome completely the great escort the japs have given to their bombers...

The warships that were still lingering near the shores after the night battles were attacked and all of them sunk....

It would be interesting to see a shot or list of the number of major combat ships the Allies have left. I know you lost a lot early, but many of the US ones would have been replaced by new shiny CAs and CLs. How many of each of these things do you have left to play with?

The scale and frequency of these battles is making me start to question what's going to be left to fight in a few months for each side.

Yup, i'm very sorry for the loss of 4 Fijii Class CLs...those were supposed to be very good light cruisers, with modern guns and torpedoes...and with very experienced crews...i hoped in something more having fought at very close range but yet i cannot complain [:D]

Go Tin Cans!! BTW, how is your DD supply? I know that have many jobs to do and you get plenty but they have been busy. Do you still have enough to go around?

I've lost 144 DDs so far...

...the worst losses are on the cruisers side...

not to talk about the BBs....

holy crap, all 8 BB at PH sunk? How many attacks did rader fly against PH back then? Have too look at your first pages me thinks...

your ship losses look horrible to be honest [X(] and even more so is it amazing to me that you nevertheless were able to land on Japan. Not having followed your AAR until the later stages I guess I have to go through your 211 pages of AAR. [:D]
