I was finally able to get the air squadrons to resize by transferring them off the ship and then back on again one at a time.

As they embarked they automatically reset to "Resize to fit ship" and it worked to resize them at the end of the turn.

Hans,
Your leading the way for us other AFB's in terms of finding the glitches. Are you playing a PBEM or AI? I'm asking because of you being in Jan 43 already. Have fun....GP

Unfortunately I play strictly against the AI these days. No internet connection at home and I focus most of my game playing time of the weekends when I engage in marathon sessions getting in 6-8 turns in a day.

Weeknights I am lucky to get in a turn every other day as I am usually too mentally wiped out after work to be able to focus on the game.

I did enjoy playing Uncommon Valor PBEM and even head to head, but just don't have the facilities or the opportunity to play competitively these days.

How is the AI doing with the new Japanese ships and other units?....GP

As John3rd reminded me when I told him I was going to give the scenario a test drive solitaire, he never intended it to be an "against the AI" scenario.

There are no specific scripts written for it.

I was too passively aggressive in the beginning. Not so much going after the AI as working to build my usual bastion in Timor by evacuating most of the Army of Malaya, all of the Dutch and the PI airforce to what becomes the Timor Barrier.

The poor AI just can't handle it. I was also overly aggressive in China and have now liberated most of it. The second quarter of '43 will see the Chinese driving on the two heavy urban cities on the Manchukou border.

The Allies have 40k VPs to the Japanese 16k. I've lost 3k+ planes in AtA while the Japanese have lost 15k.

I have lost 4.7k VPs worth of LCUs while the Japanese have lost 7.4k.

I'm currently holding back in CenPac, SoPac, SWPac and the DEI to keep from steamrolling over what the AI has left.

I have been close to starting over several times so I can play with the bugs fixed, but keep playing on to se what new toys I get to play with and help in beta testing for quality control.

Next game I intend to hold back and let the AI conquer what it's supposed to and kill off what it's supposed to.

I greatly appreciate what you are doing. Asking these questions and finding these bugs is helping BUNCHES!

Got a new one for you John3rd.

The Australian 9th Infantry Division enters at Aden (on February 2nd 1943 in my variable reinforcement game) under the Northern Australian [R] command.

It will take 2300+ PP to buy this unit out so in can move anywhere besides Aden.

Looks like it will be spending quite a while in Aden in my current game. [:(]

Hope this isn't WAD and will be fixed in the next round.

The 9th Aussie is also part of "Emergency Reinforcements" so this one truly needs to be fixed. [;)]

Will this kind of issue be fixed and work for games in progress RA7.8?

Hi John, there appears to be a TOE problem with the 3 Australian 'Bird' Bns (6005, 6006 & 6007) in RA7.8 and BTS 2.1. They each have 1 Support and 175 Motorised Support but when combined into 23rd Australian Brigade it has 119 Support and 59 Motorised Support. Sorry but it makes them horrendous to move by sea.
By the way, when I moved 22nd Australian Brigade(6639) and 27th Australian Brigade(6644) together I was given the option to combine them into 20th Australian Brigade (5981). It seems the Primary unit marker wasn't removed when the 8th Australian Division (which used to be in 5981) was removed.
BTW thanks for all your efforts.

OK. The 9th Ausiie now comes in at Aden in early-43 assigned to Australian Command. That should make it free to move---CORRECT?

9th Aussie should be assigned 1st Aus Corp like the 6th and 7th ID.

Fixed in both RA--now 7.9--and BTS--now 2.2. Will release when I get back home from work.

Good Morning Michael.

Makes sense. Is that what it was originally assigned to in Scen 1?

RA 7.9 and BTS 2.2 are updated at the Home Page.

Have begun a re-working of the Home Page to better reflect developments since we created RA. This revamp will take some time. I am contemplating adding ChemKid's magnificent new map to the downloads. I heartily recommend it!

New glitch discovered.

On March 1st 1943 the American Fleet CVs undergo a reconfiguration of their DB squadrons.

The Scout squadrons withdraw and the bomber squadrons double in size.

This conversion executed properly on all but one of the carriers.

On Wasp both DB squadrons withdrew. I had to put a coupe of Marine DB squadron on it to make it functional.

I'm assuming that later air arm reconfigurations are not going to work properly for Wasp now that it has lost its organic DB squadron.

The French Surcouf sub has arrived in my game - it carries a plane - yippeeee but also non on the boat I assume there should be one and for now I use a recovered single unit from a sunk ship I suppose. Please advise.

Hmmmm...I did not even THINK to create a FP unit for that SS (or her sister). Will have to fix that.

The DB issue? Don't know...

I ended up putting a Walrus from a sunken Brit cruiser on mine.
