Thanks for your response. Emphasis in words quite strong even not their native language. That was the most famous march song in military band. They perform excellently. As a military band respresenting army and a country, conductor looks proudly to the audiance.

The old Soviet hymn in the 1977 version sung by the Red Army Choir is one of my favourite national anthems, along with the French. I used to blast it from my stereo when in the mood, but that hasn't happen since 2022.

However, Japanese female metal bands remain my favourites - currently listening a lot to Hagane and Fate Gear.

Elvis, It is like asking a question about William Shakespeare (without colonies, perhaps English a not court language a decade earlier) England and Eflak Boğdan Prince of Vladimir(Romania) now. It is too late to ask that question. But 'beautifull world' is good song hope for CEO worth it. :D

Shakespeare, maybe on a rainy day 8th grade English class.
I quite love the King James Version, always got a huge stock to give away home or in my truck.
Vlad the Impaler, he meant business. Put him in Dungeon's & Dragon's Ravenloft module 9th grade.

Me? I'd have no problem popping Amphetamines, 'Nam '69, on patrol.
Some cold bottle Mountain Dew.
Give Victor Charlie some action.

Listening to some CCR, take your pick

Don't forget "Born on the Bayou" with many happy days down in the ole Louisiana swamps.

Now come on JJR, you've got to listen to Coldplay and Richard Ashcroft do Bittersweet Symphony in Hyde Park and then tell me they are not good?

Music is upto the listener. And I'm an odd fellow. Just doesn't make the cut.
Lyrics, sure about life. But if we're getting deep with lyrics, I go Gospel.
The electric beat is awful; rather listen to Duran Duran Rio electric organ.

You're talking about this? Vocals is blah: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbFqIRSX6js

Not sure what I'm suppose to do with the song.

John Fogerty is 80 years old.

And the dude is touring all over the place!

He's lost the vocals and the scream is gone, but the Show is awesome.
Joined in the band are his sons.
Fogerty's wife is always on the stage, on the side.

Full concert online, check the old man rock. From Woodstock to Now.

I agree with ElvisJJonesRambo here. Wagner , Giuseppe Verdi (with italian natinalism)Rimski-Korsakov about Sherazad and Vietnam War didn't write music in Hyde Park. Some classic music are very aggressive military music&results of conflicts in the last century. Most innovations are from military history including music, food. This band definetely overrated, probably more audiance than Shakespeare times.

Then there is Gorky park other than Hyde park. 'Wind of change' song by Scorpions (German group) was very famaous in 1991. But my favaourite was 'when the smoke going down' And Gilbert Bécaud - Nathalie

My salute to CCR:

#1 Music obviously has staying power. Was good yesterday, today, and tomorrow
#2 Lyrics, tell a story, I can understand the words.
#3 Beat, although simple guitar cords, there's alot of perfection with the singing. Guitars, Drums, Box, etc.
#4 Despite being at Woodstock, this is not a drug fueled band. Actually, I see them as Blues & Rock.
#5 No Devil crap. You can have Led Zepp, Pink Floyd, etc. Many ppl in prison & ruined lives over them.
#6 John, Tom, Stu, Doug always professional. No cussing, didn't perform baked, drunk. No tats. No politics.
#7 Songs can be played anytime, any venue. Movies, start a party, beach, radio, on way to church for that matter.
#8 Everyone loves to sing the songs. Kids, old dudes, women...inclusive music.
#9 The Vietnam story. My Uncles both were in 'Nam.
#10 The break-up is real. John was no manager, but he was real. Tom, Stu, Doug blew it, but they were good, real.

And finally, John Fogerty's life story. He's still alive, touring at age 80. His sons are the band. Wife always side of stage in support. This is American culture. Getting sued, in the 1980s, over the his own music, sounding like his own music, because the record label insanity.

John is no saint. Like many Baby Boomers, they are polite, you couldn't tell if he's saved or not. His solo album after the breakup of CCR was a complete failure. Credit Stu, Doug, Tom and just bands that go up, come down. His country and Gospel covers, are awful.

Fogerty loves baseball, played his "Centerfield" song of 1986, over 100+ times. "Put me in coach", another classic. The Old Man Down the Road. He is the Old Man down the road now. Dude hops on stage, like the old granpa he is, acting like he's in the kitchen singing. He's so classy. Look at the recent interview with a class-less Bill Maher. John is a professional. I salute ppl who do their job right. John & his brother Tom, both did their military service. National Guard, so be it. Wouldn't want my head blown off either. The bowl cut hair and plaid shirts, love it! The studio music is the live music, yet another reason.

CCR is my favorite band, of all-time. R.I.P. Tom, hope you were saved, same with the living. Go see John on Tour, now.

How many great songs, instantly can you name?

These are Top Shelf songs, I can stream these 24/7

Far as the Scorpions. They're okay, had a few singles which were doable from 80s/90s. Staying power, I'll leave others' music mix, to them.

Recently I've been checking out "lost" hard-rock/metal bands. Bands that were good (if you enjoy the genre) but for some reason they never really made it big. Anvil are quite well known from the critically acclaimed doco Anvil! The Story of Anvil and another one I found is New York band Riot. They were technically excellent and achieved early success, especially in Britain, where their sound was compatible with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest etc) that was blowing up at the time.

Unfortunately, just as they looked like making the big time, lead singer Guy Speranza found religion and didn't want to be a rocker anymore. His replacement was good but his behaviour was erratic. Then there was a combination of confusion with Quiet Riot (who'd just made it huge), bad management, bad album art and old-fashioned bad luck. Their record company didn't realise that metal was beginning to explode and wanted something more like The Eagles, which they resisted.

Guy Speranza became a pest exterminator and Metallica's Lars Ulrich was astonished when he turned up at his house. I don't think PPE was a priority in those days and unfortunately he died young from pancreatic cancer.

A band called Riot V still exists but none of the original members are in it. There have been a truckload of band members over the years. It's all very Spinal Tap. Anyway, this is the original line-up. I think it's the album recording over live footage but they were so tight live that it's almost identical.

Dua Lipa granted Kosovo citizenship. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwypepyzqego "Lipa now has citizenship for Britain, Albania and Kosovo."

I think immigration policy and giving citizenship should be about being a pop star.
