Happy Halloween to all threadster brothers.
Tonight the darkness mean lonelyness and sadness. Only when alone you face your fate can you judge of your own life and what you did (or did not); only alone in the dark can you have an indsight of your own value...Or lack of.
Tonight i am drunk....that is not a good thing [:-]. But i dont give a damn, life is so unfair.
Tomorrow i will be ashame of my post and maybe i will edit it. Tonight i don't care.
Life is a bitch.
Live it as well as you can, all of you: i wish you the best. But be aware that some won't have the same amount of luck as others.

Camus said in "The Plague" that only while discomforted are we aware of life. While standing on a train or waiting for the dentist we anticipate and realize our existence. Do not be discouraged by parts of life that seem meaningless, rather embrace your successes and failures alike and say "Here I am and nothing the world can do to me can ever erase the fact that I was here"!

Evening tithe...

Bad times tithe [:(]  Our oldest BC is at the vets, she was vommiting yesterday and hasn't eaten today.  Then this evening in a 15 minute period she became unsteady and fell over.  When we got her to the vets she wasn't moving and her eyes were glazing over, the poor girl had a temperature of 45C+ [X(]  She's had more than two bags of IV fluid put into her, and either p***ed or s**t most of it out again.  Her temp was brought back down to 37 and she's a bit more responsive, but still just 50/50 chance at the moment they think.  The high temp could have caused problems as well, she was so dehydrated her blood was described as gloopy.  Low white cell count and several high readings, although the high readings could be due to the concentration of her blood. [:(]

Sorry to hear that Dixie, I pray that your Collie pulls out ok.

She's 9, not a bad age I guess. I'm prepared for the worst, although she's stood up unaided since we left her.

I don't know if 9 is considered "old" for a Border Collie, but it's still heart-breaking to see a sick dog, especially your own.

It's not all that old TBH, our family pet when I was younger got to 14 iirc. My grandparent's BC was approaching 20 when she died.

It's heart-breaking alright, especially as we're responsible for her well-being and the fact she can't talk to tell us she felt so bad. [:(]

I do not know the details of your plight, but understand some of the issues that you have explained in THE THREAD in the past. I wish you peace, fellow THREAD denizen.

Not particularly old for a BC. Sorry about your dog's sickness, Dixie. Here's hoping that she pulls through with good care.
