<summary>HQ-22 is a bit different than HQ-9. Its designed for higher altitudes which is why the PLA bought both. So HQ-22 high, HQ-9, HQ-12 low. Thats why you see them together in SAM groups alot. HQ-22 also very vulnerable to low flying things like UCAV etc.</summary>

<detail>The MSP is a secondary guidance system so needs a datalink to NASAMS. Important as it adds redundancy-jamming, SEAD etc. Might be best to have it as a mount grouped with NASAMS battery as its an EO/IR system mounted on a small truck. Update all systems. </detail>

Every article I’ve read about the AGM-158C LRASM describes only passive targeting sensors- ie RF, IR, INS, GPS. I don’t recall any mentioning it employing a radar like it does on the DB. Does anyone have any more knowledge on its correct sensors?
