RE: Operation Privateer

Well a very good turn for me
My Armour Captured Charter Towers ejecting the Japanese
It cost me a lot as my bombers went in unescorted but then this whole campaign has cost me.
In other news my invasion force heading for the line islands did its job albeit I am worried about the lack of damage to the AF
I am worried about what I should do next.
I have a force of at least 2 japanese Divs trapped at Townsville and a horde of SBD's and TBM's ready to come in to deal with transports as they arrive to evac.
Effectively he will need to risk KB to pull out the troops and with Charter Towers in my hands thats a difficult operation.
PZB is not happy we both think we should have redone the turn where he misunderstood strat movement rather than giving him a 5 day head start before I followed up but thats with 20:20 hindsight of how important a relativelly unimportant screwup was at the time
Being honest it never occured to me to offer and had he asked I would have said yes as it was an insignificant turn. (Neither of us realsised it would be as significant as it has turned out to be0
However now I have lost a lot of aircraft including months production of P38's Beaufighters and irreplaceable bombers not to mention pilots and limited devices to get where I am and the payoff is a trapped force that he will have to pay to evac.
Not sure what to do PZB has not asked me for anything and knowing him I doubt he will ask for any favours so its on me to offer something if I am willing and I am not sure if I am or not.
It was a genuine mistake of that I am sure but would he really have went straight for an evac ?? - everything in my gut tells me he was planning on a delaying action somewhere until he saw how fast my Armour was moving inland and that I wasnt going to be deterred by air power but thats conjecture as I was trying to decieve deliberately holding my armour back to slow speed.
I have lost lots of P38's Beaufighters and valuable bombers to get this far but I dont want an honourable opponent feeling screwed either - not sure what to do.
need to think about it
