The Hermes is sitting pierside at location code named Trim Comb and she has 12 Stringbags on board so I'm thinking of sending her to the Davao area to see if I can't get one of those Jap BB's
I would think twice about this.
I am not saying it won't work, but it will be better used elsewhere, away from the front IMO.
Sorry missed your post in all my haste. Um.......I thought Stringbags were one of the better British weapons if used in a 'friendly' environment ( no enemy CAP ) and I'm kinda hoping to find something like that somewhere closer to the action besides Ceylon. I can't
imagine a use for a carrier away from the front. Maybe you could clue me in? ASW work? Naval search work?

Edgar McKinney gets an AK himself. I'll have to buy he and his crew a case of beer.

SS Tampon and her crew get an AK. Another case of beer will go missing from the officers club freezer.

Kuala Lumpur caught a nasty Jap air strike. I'm moving all the planes there to save what's left. There's 5 damaged planes that will be
bombed again and again until they are repaired and can be flown out of tlhere. If ever.

Hong Kong was hit several times by Jap air attacks:

And then there were several attempts on the shipping at Singapore:

Kuantan was hit as well. Most of the major Allied airfields were hit in some way today. Not a sweep but an attack w/ bombers.

And then another attempt on my shipping in the region:

The the next thing is the third Pearl Strike that happened. Surprised me to no end. Well, that's an exag-eration but it was a surprise.
I'm running out of undamaged ships. Maybe I should start running them to the west coast now. Nah.

I feel like this loss is my fault. I should have given them a waypoint much much closer to PI. They are sailing way too close to CRB and
it was just a matter of time before the Japs got most of them by air. Mea Culpa.

And the Japs captured Wake right out from under me. D'oh.

And then the Japs captured Tarawa.

Here's what all the Pearl aircraft are doing right now. I found lots of P-40's on training still. D'oh. No wonder the Japs think they can get
away w/ more Pearl strikes. My fault again.

TF 72 represents all the undamaged ships I have left. It's going to be a long war. What's that PC doing up near the KB? Your guess is
as good as mine.

TF 84 represents all the heavy iron I have in the Singers area. CL Boise is near Darwin looking for CA Houston to join up. I'm getting
some small groups together for surface forces not that I'm going to use them right away or anything.
I was going to see if I could get TF480 to lay some mines in the Miri port but it looks like the Japs got there first. So I'll reverse course
and lay some on Singkawang instead. Or somewhere.

This is what PI looks like now. Landings at two places. The subs and other ships leaving Manila harbor are like rats leaving a sinking
ship. The subs are spreading out headed to their stations and the transports are fleeing south as fast as they can go at mission speed.
There's been landings on the Malayan Peninsula and there are Jap transports probably headed for Davao even as we speak. Guam is
in mortal danger. There was an AM there doing minesweeping duties but I told it to flee south before the Japs show up. It's just a matter
of time now.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to add the purpose of the picture. I've aimed a group of MTB's at a Jap TF to their immediate south and I'm
hoping that the odds are favorable and it's an AK or something. My luck being what it is sometimes, it's probably a CA in disguise.

The AK Silverbeech was torpedoed last night but it seems as though she might be able to limp into port at Batavia at 5 knots. I'll let you
know how long she will be tied up in repairs as soon as I know.

Okay..........I pulled the trigger and ended the turn and here's some fresh combat results: I moved the PT boats to contest the landings
and they did their jobs.
