Here's the Crimea area now. This is the only place where movement is going on. Lots of savage fighting is happening here and it's
looking like John is railing people down here so the Soviet progress may be coming to a slow stop here.

Hi Larry, would that be possible to show tank losses for both the Red Army *and* the Axis? I would like to compare with the figures in Stahel's 'Typhoon' and a couple other sources.
Tx!

Yeah, I think that might be possible. Here's the Soviet losses as of T39 ( 11/2/41 ):
Maybe John will read between the lines and be kind enough to post HIS Axis tank losses.

Larry: curious as to why you committed your heavy guards reserve to attack in the Smolensk area? What did you want to accomplish there?

I'm trying to get a bulge started in the front lines and at the time the Germans in the Smolensk area were relatively thin on the
ground and it seemed best to do a bulge there. Unfortunately, I've been attacking for the last three or four turns in a row and the
only thing I have to show for it is losses. I'm afraid John is absorbing my probes w/ no problem at all. D'oh.

Here's some of my losses from the beginning of T41. The front lines haven't moved in about10 turns now. The rivers are about to
freeze over and that will facilitate movement across the Kiev area river banks. And John isn't guarding the whole length of the river.
So the front lines might change then.

Here's the air war display for T42. The front line isn't moving and John and I are trading shots at each other attacking and causing
losses but there's no movement anywhere of any significance. It's WWI all over again.

Here's some of my losses so far. I've never had this many Rifle squads assigned so far in the game.

Can you explain the difference between on hand and assigned? Thank you.

Hey there reglores, welcome and thanks for posting. "Oh-hand" means those units in "the pool" and not assigned to a specific
unit yet. "Assigned" means that, that specific piece of equipment has been given to a specific unit as part of their OOB now. I
hope this helps. Keep those good questions coming.

Here's what the Crimea looks like now. I'm shooting at John and he's resisting and we're having losses but no movement is
happening.

I've lost a lot of tanks. D'oh. But the number of Rifle Squads is still high. So far so good.

A lot of tank losses. Odd though, I don't see any T-34 types in the OOB.
