Edited: not sure if the Frank-A has a different standard build start date in this scenario than scenario 1, but that’s actually about a month earlier than I’m expecting research factories to fully repair in scenario 1.

17, same number I had for the George too.
Shinden and Ki-84 also have 17 each but there the engine will be the real prob as it's still at early 45 at the moment and I made a mistake here as I only have 2 R&D factories.

grrr... as always in this game so far, his units are moving so fast that mine are always late, as I feared earlier, we are of course exactly one turn late and attack when the stack from Darwin arrives... moving in reserve mode means you never get reset by airattacks and your movement also isn't reset by a deliberate attack while still enjoying quite good adjusted av in combat... what an oversight, one of many that have been in the game for over ten years...[:(]
this means we've screwed the whole operation by one day... while we of course will be able to hold Darwin (means the Allied operation failed) we missed the chance to trash 28 enemy units including a US Inf div... our adjusted av was halved and the low supplied enemy units inflicted more losses than our fully supplied, battle hardened tank divs... even an Allied counterattack is possible now, two or my tank divs have disruption in the 70s... [8|]

I'm officially ending all ASW work now, all ASW groups have been ordered to return to port and they will all be split up to increase the numbers of escorts in our convoys as they are nothing but sh*tty targets at best... since the first E were available we created four ship ASW groups with a DD each and have set them to operate in or next to our convoy routes coming from the SRA where we spot around two dozen subs each turn... in total we had probably 9 or 10 ASW groups for several months and we haven't achieved anything, no damaged sub, let alone a sunk sub... all those subs we attacked (better say those that attack us) are spotted and attacked pretty much daily by our air ASW but the so called "hunter groups" are as sh*tty as they could be...
I'm still increasing the number of Helens on nav search and at some point there won't be a single hex within my main convoy route that isn't covered by IJAAF bombers on ASW patrol... we get severaly sub hit by Helen messages daily so I'm sure we also score a real hit now and then but the 250kg bombs do sh*t in Babes so at best the subs return to port, most likely to Midway (those that operate around Japan and the Philipines) and Ceylon (those that around around Calcutta and Rangoon)... the real killer proved to be the Judy which carries a 500kg bomb as reduced load, those few units killed several subs already... confirmed ones as the sub disappeared on the map right after the attacks... so the 500kg bomb can actually sink a sub, most often there were two or three succesful attacks reported during the replay and the sub was gone right after... my main prob is that there is only one available aircraft that carries a 500kg bomb as reduced load, the Judy...

what we excpected came true again, when we moved in to attack the enemy yesterday, all but one unit South of Darwin were able to move out today... the remaining Australian bgd was killed though, worth some 100 victory points... now we are in a hex with a secondary road and the enemy Army is sitting in a clear hex without any road, wonder if we are then fast enough to attack but most likely we won't, the enemy will probably just retreat out of the hex everytime we move in and click on "deliberate attack" just to see the hex being empty...

after yesterday's ground strikes we have ordered the Nicks from Darwin to fly LRCAP over our troops and the enemy promptly flies into 44 fighter bombers waiting for them... lots and lots of bombers were damaged and in the end the enemy suffers a dozen B-17 lost while we don't lose a single Nick... that was a nice success...

Shinden and Ki-84 also have 17 each but there the engine will be the real prob as it's still at early 45 at the moment and I made a mistake here as I only have 2 R&D factories.

The Frank R&D factories were mostly converted to Shinden and Ki-94 R&D, while two were converted to the Frank -r. I have converted two Tojo factories (those aren't needed anymore) and total capacity for the Frank will be 250, same as the George. Producing these non stop should be sufficient, more can't be used anyways as I won't have nearly enough pilots to do so.
I do agree though that as soon as the Allied start to compete the air it should be painful now and then, as I had long time to prepare and train pilots coupled with few losses and all George/Frank in the air.
