The only reason to tell someone you've ignored them is to provoke them into responding either here or via some other method, to further the drama. But that's not the only reason you were warned, you sealed your provocative deal by assigning labels such as "character assassin" and "projector". It's insulting and it's passive aggressive, it was reported and I agree with the report, as such you got a warning for it.

If you genuinely want to ignore someone, you do so silently and don't respond to anything they say.

I certainly don't mind being called out for enforcing the forum rules, I would have to advise you that staff cannot be ignored on our forums. I do apologize if I annoy you, but you'll still see my posts irrespective of the ignore system.


Additional warnings for behaviour in this thread have and likely additionally will be going out as I read through exactly what has transpired here from the beginning.


I want everyone to understand:

There is never an excuse to break the forums rules. If someone is harassing/bothering/insulting you, report their post and/or ignore them. And genuinely do that, I.E. ignore them. Do not do a "driving by shooting" of insulting them and then saying your ignoring them after. That'll get a warning too.

I have literally no skin in the politics of this forum. I have a check list and I tick boxes, that's it.

I would hope, that people could just live and let live, considering how few of us still enjoy this hobby. But at the end of the day, no matter what your contributions to this forum, or time spent here, or even if you are staff, the rules are there to make this a great place for -everyone-.

I have temp banned and warned people on both sides of this drama and frankly, it's the same 3-4 people ring-leading it every time.

But, I have a process and checklist to follow so, these events seemingly will continue until people rack up enough warnings/temp bans to be permanently removed from here. Which is a real shame, but it's out of my hands.

It is always your choice to break or follow the rules. To flame or counter flame. You will only ever be held accountable for what you have done, not what anyone else has done. I may be more lenient if you have been particularly provoked, and your response isn't furthering an issue, but it is still not an excuse for rule-breaking.
