do you need a better job?
uh....yeah. One that wont kill me soon and allow me to do something i like vs. suffer the painful life of a US corporate micromanaged drone.
How pointy is your boss' hair?

Awww....come on....
The initial USN DD torpedo attack should be a case study of an effective night attack. I think there's grounds for considering it (right up there with Savo on the IJN side) the most effective single attack using torpedoes in the Second World War. The big guns on the prewar BBs just cleaned up some scraps.
Its funny, and this comment is not directed at you specifically...just a chuckle of a thought given all the years i've been here....but it's funny how successful USN attacks tend to be classified as "case studies" in how to do it right, or 'the best way' while Japanese acomplishments tend to be written off as one offs, luck or worse...."statistical outliers".
[:D]
Still agree with Termy (gasp!) It sounds mildly interesting...but its way down on my book list. There are other battles much more interesting than the Surgaio slaughter and i've already got several resources that cover the battle to a good degree of detail. Just my personal take.
Of course theyre case studies. There isnt enough of a sample for them to be anything else (thats both sides, btw).

I thinketh not. Say, weren't you the first to openly suggest a man crush of mine on DivePac88 for his fine work crafting my .sig image? You know what they say about people that are the first to broach those sorts of thing, Treespider, doncha? In the pantheon of fart language, it's the 'first one that smelt it, dealt it.'[:D]
Relax! Its not a man crush......its bromance.

How's this for hilarious:
"Effective immediately, all Army Medical Department (AMEDD) active-duty and reserve component Soldiers on active duty (all Soldiers with a medical MOS or AOC, regardless of unit of assignment) will carry two small bottles (minimum size of one ounce) of 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer at all times as part of their duty uniform. One bottle will be for their personal use, the other is available to give to Soldiers who do not have any hand sanitizer. When using alcohol-based hand sanitizer, Soldiers should rub their hands together until the gel is dry; water is not required for the gel to work. AMEDD Soldiers are responsible for maintaining their own individual supply of hand sanitizer from stocks provided by their servicing medical treatment facility (MTF)."
That came from an official military document. By the way, I'm an AMEDD officer. Guess I am out of uniform. [:D]
I can just imagine mike walking around draped in bandoleers of hand sanitizer. [:D] Now, if you could only get pvts to wash their hands after going potty......
