Mobiele Eenheid and Afdeling van Dongen were manned by the infantry. All other units by the cavalry.
There was a "brigade plan" to reorganize the available infantry and armored units starting in 1940, but the necessary equipment didn't arrive in time (but was fully paid....)

planned were 5 (2-West Java, 2-Central Java, 1-East Java), later possible a 6th brigade (East Java) each consisting of:

1 Squadron of Cavalry (ACs and 1 tank peloton)
1 Tank Battalion with 2 Squadrons Light Tanks and 1 Squadron Medium Tanks, 90 tanks altogether
2 Battalions of Infantry
1 motorized infantry company
1 Battalion AT/AA with 27-37mm AT Guns and 27-20mm AA Guns
1 Battalion motorized artillery
1 company pioniers (combat engineers)

Were loading routines reworked? I mean if I put AP and AK - will program load squads only in AP and equipment only in AK (so to avoid penalties)?

Completely reworked. Type of ship is much less meaningful for loading - it's type of capacity now. Penalties are not by type of ship, but by type of capacity. That is, there is a load penalty to put troops in cargo space, no penalty in troop space - no matter what kind of ship the troop space is in.

Both troop ships and AKs could have a mixture of troop and cargo capacity. I know one of the US Tank Battalions in the Philippines at the start of the war went out in one of the President Liners, troops in bunks and tanks/other vehicles in cargo holds. In AE that xAP (civilian passenger ship) would have 5000+ thousand troop capacity points and also a couple thousand cargo points.

One must pick ships wisely. Capacity type (troop/cargo) for loading, ship type (xAP, AP, APA, etc) for unloading. That is, an attack transport is very good for landing troops over the beach. An unconverted passenger ship is not. A militarized AP is somewhere in between. Save your APAs (and AKAs and LSDs and LSVs for amphib operations. Use your big, fast passenger liners for pier to pier transport away from the combat zone.

Hexes adjacent to rivers are coastal hexes, so a TF in such a hex can lay mines.

How are the Siamese and Manchukuo forces modeled? It seems that it would be appropriate to have Manchukuo as a pseudo-Japanese force (although, arguably, if India is a nation, Manchukuo deserves that status too).

But Siam is a different story. They should be a different nation than Japan (if only to have a separate leader list, since I doubt that Siamese ships were commanded by Japanese captains).

Speaking of ships, does the Siamese OOB include their navy?

No new nations are added so they appear as Japanese forces and yes there are leaders for them

I just don't think one should be able to have 25 Chinese and British Divisions in a single jungle square in Burma and have it supplied or even functional. Standard divisional frontage couldn't support such a force even in a 60 mile hex.

IJN and IJA are separate 'nations' in the game (same as in WITP). Thais, Manchukuo, Nanking Chinese and INA are IJA code-wise. There're no separate leader pools for them but it costs an awful lot of PP's to change leaders assigned to Japanese puppet units.

OK - but my question still stands - HOW can that type of stack (realistically) be supplied and functional????? There has to be a "stacking limitation" for ALL areas of the Pacific.

Could the Aussies have support 25 divisions moving overland from Port Morsby to Buna? The answer is obvious - no "f"ing way - SO HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE IN THIS GAME?? It seems that this could, and should, be fixed to make it more historically accurate.

what happens if stacking limitations are "in effect?"

At the moment two main impacts.
 
1. A steady increae in fatigue and disruption for all units - e.g. standing room only
2. A greatly increased supply usage (supplies stored in salt water go bad....)

I've heard of the stacking limits for atolls before but this is the first time I've heard that "medium islands" will be subjected to them too; what constitutes a "medium island" and will the limits be the same as for atolls?

from memory its 3 level 6,000 atoll, 30,000 small island and 60,000 mid island unlimited the rest some specific examples

Saipan Unlimited  

When units change TOE(i think it will come for AE isnt it?) will they just start draw diferent equipment from pool or like new units it is a sudden change with equipement and not from the pool. For example if an unit changes its propose (infantry to Armored etc) a sudden change will be right, but if it is just an increase in artillery or adding a tank battalion it will maybe better a slower change.
There is also the training issue. Will there be a drop of quality to account for this change?
