New moves from Thomas, new turn. I've been studying Corregidor to see if I can find a way to reduce it. I've been pounding it by air
and bombarding it by sea ( BB's ) and still they don't have a scratch. And they have an organic supply source in that hex. So I may
have to just bypass this bad boy and carry on somewhere else.

Here's some of my aerial losses so far. I've been studying this list and I'm finding that I've got a lot of Zeros and the rate of
production for the Zeros is pretty substantial. That's the good news. I'm seeing a limited production run for the Val type and
I'm wondering what replaces it. I guess we'll see. I'm thinking that my losses are what could be expected given the operational
tempo so far. In other words, my losses don't seem too high to me. So far. I'm wondering what the Allied losses are so far.

I've found a fighter unit that is almost out of Nates and I took a look into the problem and found that we're not making Nates any
more and we're going to stop making the Model I Oscar in turn 42 when we go to the Model II Oscar. And the Tojo isn't until T57
or so and that's a rather large deficit in aircraft from T42 until T57. I'll just have to make do with what I have. Some of these units
that have a large population of Nates aren't going to be good for much after they lose all their planes. I'll have to assign them to
some quiet area in China or something.

Here's the results of another airfield attack. Bombarding w/ the ships and bombing w/ planes simultaneously seems to work okie dokie.

I FINALLY got some hits from a strike at Corregidor. Bombing w/ planes and bombarding w/ BB's seems to be the ticket.

So um.....this is south China now. I've been attacking and so on but not making any progress. I'm having to attack several times
to soften up the defender(s) enough to make them finally capitulate eventually. But such a process tends to take a long time and
wears down my units. Plus I've seen some Allied movement near the river in Burma and I'm wondering if I should deploy at least
a light screen to prevent invasions. There's nobody there now and that's dangerous.

I tried to invade one of the smaller islands in the Celebes and the Allies stopped me on the beaches. D'oh. That's what I get for
trying to take an island without preparing it first. Some air strikes or bombardment or both.

The Allies have launched an offensive into Burma to link up with the valiant troops in Malaya. SBDs from Australia also hit the blockade ships around Port Moresby to open up the port for more troops.
The Japanese will have to send more troops to Burma and Malaya to stop the allies. The Marines will receive the second Marine Division soon and they may get some action.

Another example of why I'm losing this war. I felt like I had to move two of my units by the river because they were out of supply and
were in danger of being isolated. So I moved them, but I neglected to blow the bridge before leaving the hex. D'oh. Now I need to try
to get back into the hex to blow it. The Allies will own it by this time next turn so that looks unlikely.

New moves from Thomas, new turn. I received the carrier Junyo as reinforcements this turn. Now I have four carriers. The Junyo
carries only a single air unit so I'm thinking of carrying some fighters at first and maybe some bombers later. I need to reduce the
air threat first.

So um.....here's the face of Burma now. I've sent some non-combat types to the breakthrough area to try to buy me some time for
me to find some combat troops somewhere. I'm pulling the boys out of Malaya because of the breakthrough in Burma because I
figure it is just a matter of time before they capture Bangkok at the rate they are moving. I flew some paratroops to the bridge over
the bridge but the Allies captured it almost immediately and are hard at work putting it back together. It'll be operational again soon
and then the Allied hordes will flood across it.

I was just looking around the map and I noticed some blue dots near the bottom and I took a look and what do you know......there's
a carrier. I found one. It's too far away to attack directly but I can at least keep an eye on it.

Pull some troops out of China and deploy them elsewhere. You have full divisions in some places facing only
much smaller Chinese units.
Pull them out and send them rampaging on other fronts (Burma, Australia) where the presence of three or four full-strength
Japanese divisions can still make a difference.
In the long run, even if the Chinese regain Hong Kong or even Beijing, that won't win the war for the allies. But trying
to hold them back may lose the Japanese a lot of opportunities in the early stages of the war.

Hey Chattez dude: That sounds like a good idea. I could use some more troops in north China. Or Burma. Or Malaya.
And I don't have the troops to invade Java yet. So yeah, I can see me doing that.

I was looking at the differences between the Jake and the Irving spotter planes and noticed that I had lost a carrier. Now there's only
seven of them left. They are dolled out to 4 CV units on the map. And those CV's are itching to get into a fight.

But now I've found some good news. There's this one formation that's going to get something like 5 or 6 carrier groups in future turns.
I'll see if I can't put those bad boys to work.

New moves from Thomas, new turn. I don't know how he did it but somehow Thomas has cut off the supply to some of my units.
They are of course going to have to withdraw and reposition themselves.

I noticed a congregation of Allied ships down near Auckland NZ and I thought I'd drive down there and do some air strikes to see if
I couldn't sink a ship or two.

And here's an airstrike on the Lexington. I think I got one of the 2 CV's in the group.

A huge sea battle took place off of New Zealand. Most of my SBDs were off elsewhere attacking the occasional Japanese ship that showed up but missed out on the main battle. I lost one CV so far with another damaged. The survivors have fled and then I made the mistake of going in for a surface action against the hordes of Japanese ships lead by the invincible Yamato. I lost a lot of ships and will probably lose a lot more in the next round since the ships are nearly point blank range now to each other. I think most of the Japanese carriers were hit but some may have survived since they may have been hidden from view.
