Hello Mike.

Gotta be prepared for Florida:
Thank you for your email and your interest in Ironman. The best way to ensure your entry into 2010 Ford Ironman Florida would be to register the day after the event at 2009 Ford Ironman Florida. On-Site registration for next year's race will be held Sunday, November 8th from 9-11 am. The location is to be determined. The general entry registration fee is $550. Otherwise, general entry registration will become available online at www.active.com Sunday, November 8th at 12pm. Hope to see you at 2010 Ford Ironman Florida.
Do you know how fast it'll be sold out?

It will very likely sell out before the end of the day on that Sunday. Be ready to go when the online registration opens at active.com.

Yes, it is EST there, but online registration doesn't open until 12PM. 9AM is only for onsite registration. I know a lot of people who attend to support friends racing this year, and to register for next year while they are there.

Onsite means "where the race is"? I thought it means "on the website of our race" and wondered why only a few ours on the own website and then on another... [:D]
"Sunday 12PM" means beginning with 9th of november/monday, right?
As I'm in +1, I'll consequently have to register at 7 in the morning on monday.

Sunday at 12pm would be 12:00 in military time, or high noon.

Hey, wait a minute. You weren't making a funny there, were you Historiker? [:'(]

Nope, you are 6 hours ahead of EST. 12 PM on Sunday here is 6 PM on Sunday in Germany. You should be able and ready to register at active.com at 6 PM on Sunday evening from the comfort of your home. [:)]

And 6PM is 1800 in Germany. You're at +6, not +1.

It's six timezones (hours) across the Atlantic from EST to CET. Take my word for it, Torsten. I've had plenty of experience setting up trans-Atlantic SKYPE calls during the AE development process, so I know.

I really don't get it. Shouldn't UCT-6 (Panama City) to UCT+1 (Germany) be seven hours?

(starting feel dumb...) [:(]
