The Allies are at 1.9861 to 1 as the bombers are concentrating on my Industry. The horror.
I reinforce Nagoya with 700 AV, and the Allies finally cut the railroad.

Allies pursue into Hanoi. I have 700AV in Hanoi, 400 digging in across the river but the Allies can go around.

Only two monster bombardments at Nagoya. The disruption is spreading now that the full division has been knocked down in AV.

A lot of my Armor reinforcements are now on the west side of the island...with the rail line being cut. Allies only moved one unit in, and I have 1574 AV in x2 terrain. Dare I attack? Surely he has more troops arriving today.
Disappointed to see no disruption decrease in the AA,which is all in reserve mode. Tubes are repairing from disabled though.

A twin 25mm AA gun, on the oustskirts of runway near Nagoya where fighting has been heavy. Each magazine holds only 15 rounds, and the low ceiling and lack of penetration, really hamper the effectiveness of this gun.
4 JNAF support units at Nagoya feature the 25mm heavily. Based on the French Hotchkiss machine gun as does the 20mm version favored by the Army.

Army soldiers defy the Allies again, defending against two shock attacks in the far west. Oh,for supplies here.[8|]

East and West Honshu are linked again by rail. Nagoya's defenders climbing to 3000 AV.
Heavy bombing by the Allies goes unchallenged.

No disruption relief in AA units in reserve. Still being nailed by the daily heavy naval bombardments.

Here is the Armys 20mm AA gun used in runway defense. Thanks to a TOE upgrade, they are quite numerous, if pretty ineffective.

Now that the Allies have created a pocket in Vietnam, will he look to collapse the pocket asap, or will he contain the pocket and move on east into Lang Son.
Hainan beckons, as does the coast and Formosa and Luzon.
What will the Allies do?
5 more months until 1945.

Pretty normal day. Lots of naval bombardments. My trap with the 1st Tank Division doesn't work, as the Allies bombard in Vietnam. No deliberate attacks worth mentioning anywhere.
Nagoya holding strong at 2600 AV, and the Allies rush a tank unit 1 hex north to cut the rails again. I bet he retreats with them on the morrow.
Kobe really gets bombed hard.
Lost an APD running supplies into Vietnam. I almost made it. I have 10 subs ferrying in supplies, plus planes.
The Katsuragi is off Formosa, and heading to Luzon.
Doing some Frank sweeps tomorrow, and trying to pick off a destroyer taskforce with my favorites the Lilly IIb.
Other than that pretty much normal day. Still holding below 2-1, if barely.

Here is my favorite IJA machine gun. Hopper fed.
I don't see the bayonet lug, but know it must be there.

Normal heavy bombardments by naval ships at Nagoya. 2000 raw losses per day is a good average. You think those guns and ships would start to fatigue a little, wouldn't you?
Kobe is bombed heavily, and other places not so much.
No deliberate attacks anywhere, even Hanoi, and most of our troops flee Hanoi for the Lang Son area.
A successful strike. However, nothing went down so I guess it is just wasted supply at this point.

Defense is taking shape, but nowhere strong enough, if the Allies push east with everything they have. Or will he move to destroy the Vietnam pocket? Or both?
The whole Chinese coast back to Shanghai is protected by at least a full division. Not much to tell the truth.

With the heavy bombing on Kobe today, and elsewhere, the Allies broach the 2-1 barrier with 2.003 VP ratio.
Well done! Japan has been whipped.
Can I survive five more months. Allies have amassed 47,758 strategic victory points.[X(]

Normal naval bombardments.
I have an excellently trained and experienced Judy squadron attack 5 Fletchers, yesterday less experienced Lilly IIc pilots attacked 4 Fletchers for 4 hits. No losses to Flak and they started their bombing run at 15K.
Today the D4Y4s all missed, and lost 6 to flak, despite attacking with more planes. They started their bombing run at 10K.
Allies shock attack and take Hanoi. The militia stand their ground, and we have 1000 AV protecting Lang Son now.

Allies have dropped some British mines at Quinhon, to stop my sub resupply of Vietnam.

Vietnam - If I was playing Allies, I would reduce the pocket here to free up troops for more invasions. Since he controls the seas now, he needs to take advantage of it.

My once potent block, overrun in a 4-1 attack by the Commonwealth. Oh for rice and bullets. And more AA.
Another invasion force off....shepherded by CVs. Nothing I can do...
