Are those books any good? I've seen them around for years but never picked up one.

My wife loves his books. She even got The Famous Grouse for me for Christmas because of W.E.B Griffin. Only one problem, as I am a dedicated JFB, she cheers on my opponents![X(]

I have to say WEB Griffin is a good writer. From the jacket covers and pubs - he was a WWII combat correspondent. I've noticed since he turned over the writing to his son, there are more glitches in the storyline than before. His style is not page after page of "in the trenches" as much as the war as a backdrop scenario.

He has several series in print including a Philly cop series that I'm impressed with because he nails the location descriptions of Philly - I assume he spent some time here. Same type of story telling though.

I had never heard of Famous Grouse and assumed it was fictional when I read it. Then one of my co workers broke out a bottle during a X-mas party - and I was hooked!

No turn yet. Rord Admirar Nerson sent us the invasion plans for Timor instead. I think he is half in this universe and half in another. It appears he has been seeing another war on the side. If one of you guys (or gals) is also half in you are going to get killed. I looked at the turn.



So, in the interim, in an effort to emerge from my rut, I tried out for a community production of Fiddler on the Roof. Naturally, I went rong and tried out for Motel. The director, who is a serious flamer, but seems very knowledgeable, told me I might have had the part if I were more hirsute and could actually sing.

Everybody gets a part because they need the subscription fee to put on the show. I am therefore, the proud 5th understudy to Motel. It's like a military operation. Everyone has a call sign. I am Motel 6.

I told Stalker Girl she should try out for Yente, the matchmaker. This did not go over well.

Landings started at Efate. I think the garrison are a bunch of starving engineers in diapers. Landing force consists of a Marine Raider Bn and some Stuarts. We lost the opportunity to trap the LYB troops on New Scotland a long time ago.

If we have left over AP's after the Darwin landing group is embarked, they can come to NZ and pick up the New Scotland assault force (2 regiments).

The CDC 2010 Guidelines recommend: Cefixime 400 mg orally in a single dose is recommended when ceftriaxone 250 mg IM in a single dose is NOT AN OPTION.
