Yes, but I expect to lose both just after the '41 cease-fire ends.

Mud finally ends. Just about everyone I had surrounded just gave up. Kinda fun to have one unit running around evaporating 3 to 5 units at one time. Took Bryansk, Rostov and Voronesh so Larry will have a loss of around 15% next turn. Took the final hex of Leningrad and sank all his ships. Finns are released.

A new twist in the game....a threat to Archangel. The Germans are poised to breakthrough the Soviet lines and can severely damage the supply situation. The Soviets need to send some forces up there post haste.

Here's the minimap moves movie from turns 37 thru 41. Note in the 41st turn the Axis mopped up the Soviet forces behind it's lines and advanced on Stalingrad.

Taking Karkov and rostov will open up the "gateway.. Cherkassy allows the duel egded Turkish intervention.. US air.. VERY strong and weak turks.. Some other town in the south name escapes me is a plus five supply for the Axis and Minus five for the Redds, so that is probably the biggest equalizer, the Stal only reduces reds supply, no addition to Germans... Plus taking K I believe is a 10% reduction in replacements... pretty soon those number really could get low.. Baku too in the far south.

They get their big multiplier shortly, so the Germans REALLY want to do as much damage as possible to the Sov production.....

As I see it, it will not make a differrence whether one takes those cities before or after the multiplier... good gd I feel like I am talking about overclocking.. he starts to pull out his hair!
If you take a city after the multiplier, the troops are still reduced.. go for the South! Like 50% more reps go away! Has anyone done the math for taking cities.. since it is not additive, ie the base rate goes up after the multy multiplied by .95 times again and again for each city.. and .9 for Karkov and the likes? Seems you could get the reinforcments , I assume this is all the reinforcments not just inf squads? Down to about 15-25% of the conceivable.. germany stops at teh border figures?

Yes the effect wil be teh same, but one presumes they'll be much easier to capture while the Sov's have the "low" replacement rate!![:)]

Axis losses. Spent the whole turn moving units up to the front line and clearing out the roadblocks.

Zort got his troops across the river before I was able to move more troops up there to block and so now I need to build another defensive line somewhere between there and Moscow. I'm thinking I have just about enough troops to build one on the south side of the ( double green line ) river so that's what I'll try to do I guess.

Here's a close-up of Zort getting his troops across the river in the far north before I could get some troops in there to block.

A little further south we find the Axis forces approaching my defensive lines by the lakes:

Here's the view around Moscow itself. The Axis troops in the middle center seem to dissappear because my theater recon isn't all that great.

Here's the view just south of Moscow. He ( the Axis player ) is definately headed for the weaker parts of my front line(s).

Here's the view to the southeast of Moscow. Notice the Axis units seem to be headed to the northeast to the weakest part of the Soviet line.

Here's the situation at Stalingrad. The Axis trust from the north and south outflanked my defenders at the river so I removed them to the east side of Stalingrad because they are sure to surround the city before they reduce it. At least that's been the pattern in the past.
