8 PG escort of a big TK convoy going to Japan. This is North of the Philipines in the Formosa straits. The sub wasn´t spotted so I was quite amazed as this is the area where I have the most ac on nav search, mostly DinahIIs, some IJA dive bombers and even an IJA daitai of Helens. The PGs all failed to locate the sub but they did their job and prevented the sub from getting a shot at my oil loaden TKs...

the light cruisers don´t do much damage... I´m sure the enemy CVs have already left the area, with the recent developments I would bet they are heading for Timor or Northern Australia as Miller seems to fear my counterinvasion of Timor...

The cruisers bombard during the night AND during the day! This is new to me - saying this after years of playing [X(] - as I always experienced the TF bombarding during the night if set to retire and bombarding at the end of the day when set to patrol do not retire. But I´ve never seen one TF bombarding TWICE a day...

lol, how much more ridicoulos can it get... 6th attack I guess, once we were able to knock down a fort... well, no matter how many more casualties we take, this base will fall, even if the next 20 attacks look like this... sooner or later there are no Chinese left, even if they will still be sitting behind level 8 forts... this is also new to me as hundreds of combat engineers normally don´t need a dozen attempts to take down one fort level, especially if the enemy is mostly or even totally out of suplly.

couple of Allied divisions at Suva now, not much fighting power left... Miller has worn down his divisions with the landings at Noumea and Nandi and this wasn´t a must as he could have done that with far fewer casualties. With level 5 forts and a wooden hex I´m not even sure the Allied can take the base, a couple of lucky die rolls for us and the base will hold...
looks like the fact that we closed down Lautern stopped all Allied bomber attacks on Dili and Koepang also as Miller seems not to be willing to fight my Cap over Timor at the moment. I´m sure he will launch one big strike again when his bombers have a good morale again, but it is buying us time and that´s not good for our enemy...
