And of course, here's the combat report if you'd like to see it in it's fullness.

The ships in the display that are greyed-out are those I just now took out of the shipyard to be put back into readiness so I can sail them
to the shipyards on the west coast. Seattle has an excellent repair shipyard, 200(0) as I recall and I can slip those battleships into there
and let them mend until mid-43 or so. Those that have days under repair in the shipyard less than 30 I left there, those over 30 I'm
going to ship them to the west coast. I took the two broken BB's out of the shipyard and all of a sudden there was room in the repair
shipyard for every other broken ship I had. The shipyard at Pearl has room for 100K tons and I've stuffed it up to 75K w/ broken ships.

I bought the 41st Aust. Bn. for 82 PP's and I'm loading it prepariatory to taking it to Shortlands or Tulagi. I'm hoping there's still time to
get some people there before the Japs get there.

Okay.......here's the Pearl situation.......it's rapidly turning into a Midway situation because the KB is headed NW and looks to brush by
Midway and two of the Allied carriers are parked nearby. I'm thinking I might ought to give this KB group a lot of space by sailing to the
SW a bit and then S and then to Pearl to join the third carrier. And then off to Rabaul to contest the landings there.

Okay......I pulled the trigger again and there were the usual attacks on Hong Kong, Singapore, Kota Bharu, Georgetown, etc. and finally
the Japs captured Hong Kong.

Here's the cities still failing in industry. I've turned on the stockpile function for resources in each of the cities that failed and Melborne
I turned on the stockpile for oil.

The KB has disappeared from the map. I'm hoping they continued along their path back to Japan and that they aren't chasing my two
carriers.

The conversions of some 5 HDML's at Rangoon is done and the paint isn't even dry yet on those new 40mm AA guns. I've got the boats
docked at Rangoon so that 1/2 their AA will add to the port AA for defense. I'd like to see the Japs attack via air now.

How do you make big pictures? All of mine are small and hard to read.

I just do this : press the "Prt Scr" key on the keyboard ( that puts a copy of the screen on the clipboard ), then "Paste" the copy into a
session of MSPaint and then do whatever cropping, annotating, etc. and then do a save. I like to save them as 1200 X 700 pixels so that
they fit on at 1440 X 900 screen, which is what I use for browsing. Well, actually I guess I use that resolution for everything since I never
change it. You CAN enlarge the pictures, I just don't 'cause it takes time I don't want to spend.

I changed my mind about what to send to Tulagi. I dug up a unit from Auckland and have been moving it north and it's the closest INF
unit to Tulagi so I'll put it there and I've done a recon of Tulagi and noticed that it needs some fuel and supply and I've got 1500 supplies
headed toward Tulagi but the fuel I have yet to make a move on. Or if I've already dispatched somebody w/ fuel for Tulagi I've forgotten
having done it. Which is entirely possible.

TF 136 was set to loading some troops yesterday and today I open the TF display and see that it's unloading........probably because I
forgot to set the toggle to "Do Not Unload". My theory is that the game engine got the troops loaded before it ran out of support points
that it had to spend yet and so it decided to start unloading until all the ops / support points were gone.

So far I'm sending the 2nd Mar Def Bn to Pago Pago because that's where the game engine said they were preparing for. But......that's
the situation now and as the TF get's closer to it's destination conditions might change and the 2nd Mar Def Bn might just end up going
to Baker Island or Ocean Island or any number of good places to put a Bn.

Larry,

whats your goal of the Shortlands/Tulagi reinforcement?

Force a delay or commitment of carriers in support, or do you actually expect to be able to hold the base ?

Your first guess was my first thought. Force a delay if I could. Mostly just to have somebody there instead of just an empty base so the
Japs have to fight for it. I'm not sure I can hold the base very long.
