Not compared to what's next. Armageddon I think. We have to rely on Raiden to provide it, though.
Another subject; I'm nearly certain I haven't lost a single Tojo to a Spitfire, but have shot them down on a regular basis. I may have lost a Zero to one, but I'm not sure. Even in the case of Oscar 1c's, I don't believe they've had much difficulty with them. I think I've read (not just in the general WitP-AE forum but elsewhere) that while everyone who's ever piloted a Spit has just loved flying them, they weren't very good fighters really. The Hurricanes have given me nothing but grief, so I suppose the game designers were of that opinion also. Aside from their short range, they seem to be the best (or if not, one of the best) [edit for clarity; they = Hurricanes] fighters through '42. I'd better give the Wildcat it's due, though. I really think it was awesome for it's time and (all things considered) superior to the Zero. Possibly the best American fighter at the outset.
