I was going to move some AT guns up behind a German unit threatening one of my bases and wouldn't you know it.....I discovered
another whole German unit, this one is an HQ unit and it's got arty probably. I'm going to need some back up it seems.

Larry:
I'd like to take a shot at this scenario. A few weeks ago you sent me a copy. Is that the latest version or do you have a later one.
Thanks,
P

Ok, I've played through the first 10 turns and have enjoyed the game. I'm going to restart because I don't like the way I've played so far.
A couple of comments.
The half-week turns is a little bit to fast. I enjoyed the slower pace of the 1 day turns. That said, there was no way I'd ever play 600+ turns. Given the game engine is either 1 day or half-week turns half-week is the better compromise.
I'd prefer if the Italian units were left in yellow (color). They were more distinguishable from the Germans.
I'll restart in the next day or two.

I know, it's addictive in a way. I like the tactical "feel" it has. I'm beginning to be able to read a map again.

I do that same thing. Practice makes perfect. Well, practice makes good enough.

I don't know why but I prefered the 1 day turns too. But really, I didn't notice a difference in my gameplay either way.

I hadn't noticed that the Italians were yellow. Shows what I know.

Ok then. Pictures, we want to see pictures. Maybe not a full-fledged AAR but a picture would be nice. And good hunting.

Hey you guys. I'm getting older and more senile and for some reason when I did a load-a-saved-game just
now TOAW didn't like my T32 saved game. This version of TOAW can't load this scenario. So I had to
drop back to T31 which did load w/o any problems. So I'll do T31 again and continue onward.

Have I shown you the strategic situation lately? Here's the T32 front lines.

Here's the T32 saved game file for those of you who want to download the situation and take an indepth look around. Just rename
the file w/o the dot txt on the end of the name and you have your sal file.

Here's what I'm doing on the West side now-a-days.

Here's the T33 East side view now. The Germans have reacted to my incursion by forming a rudimentary front line between me and
Foggia. This may take about a dozen turns to get past these guys. I'm sending units to the West to convert hexes and take up
blocking positions. It's about time to turn west anyway. The supply rail is getting closer to the action and the supply level is rising. It's
looking pretty good actually.

I'm partially impressed with what Elmer is doing there. Do you have a save file from turn 33 that you could send me ? I'd love to look at Elmers' full situation.

T33's save file is racing through the wires to your inbox even as we speak. It's probably already there.

Here's the West side now. I'm skirting around the bottom of the line and swinging around behind the Germans and they are backing
up and I'm slowly displacing them. It's just a matter of time before they will be destroyed I'm guessing.

Hello I took a small break as I work out some things in my life this last week. I was up to turn 22 last week.
Personally I like the new colors of the Italians but that is me.

Everybody needs a small break every once in a while.
You're up to T22? How is it going? Pictures, I want to see pictures.

This is the T35's view of the East side now. I'm thinking about outflanking the Germans rather than try to power my way through their
front line there. I'm thinking I might be able to use the road(s) further to the west to sneak up on Foggia and get in behind the German
defenders at the same time. Save some of my troops and equipment for the expenditure of the passage of time. Good trade. I'm in no
hurry to win this thing. Besides I need the recon of Foggia for my air power to be unleashed on the units there. I'm not aware of where
I am in the historical timeline. I assume I'm behind schedule.
Which brings up another subject. I've been asked to contribute to the TOAW playtesting team by taking part in a PBEM test of the
ignore-losses problem. We think we've fixed it and we want to test it to prove we did. So I'll be posting stuff a little bit slower than you've
been reading so far. Thanks for keeping up and reading this far. I'm going to post more and keep going on this game. I'll just be doing
official playtesting in the background as well.

Here's what the West side looks like now that I've moved everybody. I have a semi-clear shot to Paestum where there's another
German stack waiting for me probably.

I've been pushing and shoving and attacking and here in T38 I'm getting closer to Paestum and the supply point all the time. I
replaced the paratroopers on the front line w/ regular troops and I'm moving them to an airfield to refit.Everybody is employed and
busy and there's no strategic reserve. The rail line is up to the front lines on the East side and I'm starting to push on the East side
too.

Wow, I'm at turn 31 and I've just captured naples and I thought I was going slow. I took Naples to unstop my Salerno invasion.
Maybe I'm going too reckless and I'm in for a fall. I'll try to post a screen shot later today.
