You may want to consider escorting your medium bombers up there...[:'(]

Then you are trading P-40K's for Wellingtons. I vote for fighter sweeps in superior numbers and then LRCAP over the target base on the day of the attack.

Sure. That will work too. Was this attempted or did the mediums go in 'naked'?

I know I'm exceeding my posting allowance on this AAR, but I'm noticing the American contigent is generally standing at ease, except the short stocky guy ( w/ pencil thin mustache?) with the arms crossed in the middle front? LOL - he's your glass eater Cap?

BTW I cannot resist... Does Motel 6 leave the light on too? . . . .[:D][:D][:D]

Yes, he looks a bit fitter than the rest as well. I'm thinking he is USAAF from the uniform.

The combination of rear area duty and the Steve Garvey style of trouser elevation is not flattering. Several of the chaps have a paunch under their belt.

Good to see somebody got the Motel 6 gag. [:)]

Fleet Admiral Mandrake: <reading message traffic> Santa Maria! No wonder it takes so long to get things done. The crazy bastards must go through 50,000 pheasants a week. That is quite a logistical tail. This war has been tough on the Russkis but it must be murder on pheasantdom.....

Also a bit higher tempo of transport losses, probably from the effort over Dobo.

Do transport aircraft take ground fire on an airdrop mission (pretend I didn't read the manual)?

The fight for Dobo. Allied surface groups going in tonight after the Jap transports. It is about time for the LYB crusier force to come back...and then there are Musashi and Yamato. A fast transport force is going to try to drop off more Marines of 21st Regt tomorrow night. A new squadron of B-25's arrived Merauke.

Where would Musashi have to rearm? Could she rearm at Kendari?
