Done. Only 32 retreats [&:]
Leningrad attacks. As you can see most would have been against the odds. I am advancing here.

In the Volkhov and Northwest Fronts attacks were possible. Quite good turn here [8D] I am advancing here as well.

The Bryansk Front. Here I made a mistake [:(] I was not supposed to advance (no active front). The thing is attacked first here and in the southwest (great opportunities on this area, if you know what I mean

), and then when I attacked in the north I forgot I had advanced in the Bryansk Front. I am retreating part of the forces (which successfully attacked from an ILLEGAL position by the way). I can't retreat a stack though x=0 [:)]

The Southwest Front deserves two screenshots as I launched many many attacks here. That's what I call a nice massacre. 2ndACR is very weak here [:)] I obviously advanced here.

In the Southern Front only one attack. I am not advancing. LOL, I hadn't paid attention: he dared attack me

... [:D]

Many rifle and airbornes brigades are already digging to prepare defensive lines (you can see them on the screenshots, behind the front-line). I keep bringing ALL of them every turn to the front, more or less spreading them. Their vital task: dig... or DIE!

The first of my Reserve Armies is ready. It's the 1st Shock Army. It will be helping in the center (attached to Stavka itself), in the Western or Bryansk Fronts
Good leader, plenty of support.

Nice job so far. As your attacks proceed, hopefully you should start seeing guards units pop up.
How are the cav corps going?

The 4 Shock Army has also been formed. Good leader and lot of support. It will help basically in the south (Southwestern and Southern Fronts).
The 2 Shock Army is already assigned and fighting in the Volkhov Front. The 3rd (not formed yet, only one Guards Rifle division assigned) will be fighting in the Northwest Front (as per history): it should help to protect the Leningrad southern flank.
I think I have like a dozen divisions (attached to Stavka). I might form 3 regular armies on next turns as well. We will see.

I already formed 11 Cavalry Corps on the first december turn. I am sending them forward. Let's see if they can exploit an attack [8D]

Turn 28

25 december 1941
Christmas! [8D]
A psychological barrier has been almost broken. The Germans have less than 3 million men. And I almost have a 6 million men Red Army.

In my most recent campaign PBEM I had less than 3 million by the first blizzard turn...of course, I caused 4.25 million casualites, but still!

My losses so far are 2,7 million [8D] You killed a lot... but were obviously killed in the process. It makes sense [:)]
And by the way, the German losses are historical [X(] 900.000 men only on 1941 (in the real war that is).
