For some reason game will not allow Chinese FTR intercept to combat after Japan decides to intercept Chinese bomber. So I fly one Chinese plane as bomber and another one as fighter and Japanese FTR will join the party.

I think I would like to see a saved game for this bug. This seems to be a new one.

Here is the save file. Intercept with Japanese FTR, next phase is air to air combat, not Chinese interception.

This is the Ground support sequence:

To fly ground support:
1. your opponent flies combat air patrol to potential target hexes;
2. you fly your selected attacking bombers, escorting fighters and
combat air patrol to potential target hexes;
3. your opponent flies intercepting fighters or both bombers and
escorting fighters to the target hexes;
4. you fly intercepting fighters to the target hexes;
5. fight any air-to-air combats;

So, for this situation:

1. Chinese flies CAP
2. Japanese fly bombers and escorting FTR's to target hexes
3. Chinese fly bombers and escorting/intercepting FTR's to target hexes
4. Japanese fly intercepting FTR's to target hexes
5. Air to air combat.

No bug, because the Chinese should have send the other FTR in with the bomber as an escort. They are not allowed to do this later, according to RAW.

Fascinating game in France. I am intrigued to see what the Axis will do.

I can't understand the MWiF players fascination with the Yangtze river line.

Thanks peeps.

Thanks for your comments. You're not the only one intrigued!

I don't know about other MWiF players and the Yangtze River but in this case it was simply the next position to fall back to after positions along the mountains and then Han River started to look untenable. Whether the Nationalists should have set up there in the first place is another question and one, in my limited experience, I don't yet know.

J/A 40 Allied 7

No DoW

All combined except China and France Land.

With the redeployment of the Italian fighter from La Spezia, the fleet has no air cover. The CW waste no time in sending 3 carrier wings of Stringbags to see what damage they can do.

Surprise rolls Italy 8, CW 3. 4 surprise points are used to reduce AA. Italian AA affects the aim of a few bombers (1 point reduction).

BB Vittorio Veneto takes a couple of torpedoes, causing serious damage but remains afloat.

Where would El Duce like the D and A results to go?

BB Littorio takes D. A to some damaged ship or any light cruiser.

Littorio is peppered by near misses, causing minor damage and she'll be ready for sea in a couple of weeks. Another CP is destroyed. The abort goes on the damaged BB, which also saves.

USSR CP in Black Sea heads back to port.

2 empty Trans and 2 CA sail from Gibraltar to St. Vincent. Do the RM wish to intercept (1 of the 2 subs is still organised)?

The task force sails to Biscay 1-box where it picks up Gort and the Hurricane II from France. Ark Royal returns to Gib.

RAF Harrows make a successful raid on Dusseldorf.

The Chinese and French juggle their lines. RSA Inf moves up to tackle an annoying distraction in Africa. Two land combats declared. The USSR one is boosted by 3 points of ground support.

Which table would you care to choose for each?

Results go better in Africa.

Hampden rebases from Tunisia to Cairo.

USSR rebases a Ftr to Talin.

No reorgs.

On a 1, the turn ends.

Where does Germany wish to place its Pact markers?

Shortest summer ever... Markers to offence and move lowest marker from defense to offence please.

Edit: what was the roll in Finland?

Apologies, didn't realise I'd posted the wrong picture. The roll was a 9. Correct picture has been uploaded.

USSR had put its Pact chit to offence.

No partisans.

US puts its entry marker in Ge/It box and declares an embargo on strategic materials to Japan. On a 9, tension is unaffected.
