Watched it on German television, and the commentator kept referring to Gdansk as Danzig and Lviv as Lemberg. I was under the impression that those names went out of style in 1945, but not in Germany, it seems...[:-]
This isn't necessary what you might initially think... [;)]
In Europe many places in different countries have old names referred even now!
For example "Vienna" in Austria is called "Bec" in Croatia and "Dunaj" in Slovenia (both Croatia and Slovenia lived in Austrian-Hungarian Empire for centuries) - at the same time "Ljubljana" in Slovenia is called "Laibach" in German and "Zagreb" in Croatian is called "Agram" in German...

Fort Andrews had a similar structure within it's high walls. It was used to store ready ammo.

Fort Jefferson is located in the Dry Tortugas, 70 miles west of Key West, FL. It is a 2 1/2 hour boat ride. The island is called Garden Key which is funny since there is no fresh water in the Dry Tortugas.
