So I tried to run a couple searches on "release date" but came up empty. Maybe my search skills need work, because I know you've discussed this recently. Any time frame? I'd rather you take your time to polish than rush it out the door, but I'm curious.
Also, how's the work on the AI going?

To my knowledge, Matrix does not announce release dates. IIRC a "target" of "this summer" was included in the 7 Dec 2007 announcement.
As to the AI, we continue to struggle along, the frustrating part is trying to get the AI to do what you want. But I guess in the end AIs always do what THEY want, eh?

SigInt should be available ON THE MAP, not just on the sigint screen. ie. if you scroll over an enemy base on the map that you have some sigint for it should include that info on the screen.
Actually, I think SigInt reports should be embedded inside savegame, so only each legitime owner could seen them... and then, if he wishes, he could export to a text plain file the current SigInt for that turn.
IIRC, SigInt files are generated when you replay the Combat Save n1 save slot to see combat reports, animations, and all those thingies.
Also, talking about allied sigint being underrated, I agree... it should be a kind of selector, like reinforcements schedule: three position for Allied SigInt (Historical: LOTS of information, Reduced: actual implementation, Balanced: let's play a scenario in which both sides have equal cryptologic knowledge and everybody use one time pads).

Second that! I've been in wargaming since the 70s - I have a copy of early Strategy & Tactics board games from that time, beginning with their USN game (a VERY early and VERY generalized war in the Pacific). Been hooked ever since.
Peace,

Hello all,
is there a long list of features posted somewhere summarizing all the questions/answers to date?

I think there are at least five long lists, the Air, Naval, Land, Map and General threads, right here!

I know it's been said before that there's no provision to keep track of how successful a particular sub is in sinking ships, but is it possible on the Ships Sunk screen to put "sunk by 21" torpedo by USS xxx" or something like that?

Some improvements have been made on the sunk ships report.

Did you guys consider simulating the December 44 Japan earthquake somehow? I know it's unlikely, but just throwing that out there - it had big strategic impact, and it seems like one of the few timed events in this game that is immutable.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules but the Date Sunk can be filtered. Sunk last turn, last month, all.

Doc Smith:
I have USN tucked away in a closet myself. Started wargaming in the mid-60s. Have a copy of SPI's monster game War in the Pacific. Actually set it up and played it for about a year and a half back in the 70s.

One question, how is the monsoon going to be handled ?
It stopped all operations on CBI theather for several months each year, and both sides planned their operations on the dry season.
