CW sends Beaufighter to West Med 3-box.

USSR sends 2BB and Ca to Baltic 3-box.

CW sends 3CV, 3BB and 5CA to West Med 3-box. CP from Cape Town to St Vincent.

US sends CP and Trans loaded with F4F to Polynesia sea zone.

2 areas for Naval combat.

CW declines West Med.

USSR initiates in Baltic. Searches of Allies 10 and Axis 8 soon put a stop to Allied ambitions in that domain.

Do Italy wish to engage in the West Med? Germany can fly a Ftr to the 1 box and Italy a Nav to the 2-box if they do.

Freccia initiates combat. No more planes, NAV will join box 2 little later when Beaufighter is shot down or aborted. If aborted, Freccia goes to La Spezia and Falco to Genoa.

Edit: Freccia is front fighter.

This could be a problem.

Searches Axis 2, Allies 8. Axis has 4 surprise points. I presume the Axis don't want to avoid combat, so how do they wish to spend them.

All points to increase own air to air value. Italy stays to the end! First target to destroy/abort is Beaufighter.

The first round sees a Swordfish cleared. The Italians stay but, seeking more favourable odds, the CW aborts.

I presume the Italians stick around for round 2?

Axis 2, Allies 8. Ever get a sense of deja vu? So much for that cunning plan.

The CW has a re-think of the batting order.

The new opening bat proves useful before being sent back to the pavilion. As before, CW declares the innings.

CW moves Wavell towards the Libyan border and Manchester Mil to the border, adjacent to Balbo. Ugandan Terr continues its advance in Italian Somaliland.

Communists move a unit up to the OOS Jap Inf div near Yenan.

USSR over-run the disorganised Nav in Manchuria and close up to the Jap units near the coast.

2 combat declared. The communists near Yenan and CW against Balbo. CW uses a CVP to add 1 point of ground support. Which tables for the combats?

I'm kinda surprised CW would make that attack with only two units. There are two INF div's sitting uselessly in Sardinia that should be involved. On average you should win the battle with no losses, but why risk stalling the Med theater with a poor roll? An expensive MOT is also at risk. I'm thinking you are in a hurry?...ie...Italy might get supply down there?

The Communists come slightly unstuck. Although, with all surviving units disorganised, perhaps unstuck isn't exactly the right phrase. The Communists drop themselves in it.

This should cheer the Japanese up a bit.

USSR rebases a couple of Lnd. CW rebases the Whirlwind to Tunis.
