I don't need planes there, and don't know if I can send enough to make a difference. He is going to come with over 15,000 assult points and I do not know if I can stop that. If I attack at other places on the map he will have to focus on those or have his oil producing sites bomb into the ground. He has to try to blunt my move in the DEI of this will happen. The game as turned into he owns the land and I own the air and naval side of things. The question is how long is it going to take me to get good air bases in range of Japan. My signet says he has some places really well defend and it is going to be a tuff go if it for me. He has the key Islands well defended at this point.

Here is a map of the operation I began in early 1943. Without taking New Zealand and Alaska, the Hirohito line becomes impossible to hold. Even if I stacked Hawaii and some of the other islands, NZ provides too good of a platform for moving into the Central Pacific. So I withdrew 85% of the my units back closer to Japan.

Once again these two acts did not show up on the combat replay I watched. I only saw Truk hit once and that was on the second day. I never saw the PH raid.

The thing is I did not use NZ to base operations out of. Everything was based out of SF then Christmas Island. I only held NZ becasue I thought without it getting any thing to OZ would be hard.

I probably could have prevented the fall of Christmas Island but it doesn't seem worth given that doing so would strip the Central Pacific of any defenses. Then you could have used New Zealand to take Rabual, Truk, and Saipan.

What version are you running? are you in sync? differing combat reports is apparantly one of the effects of having different versions in a PBEM

Well this game pisses me off. If I tell a tasforce to load a combat unit and it has 4 times the space why does it not load all of the unit? I should not have to check and see if it all loads. Before everyone says well you should check, why should I this game cost a lot of money and it keeps doing shitty things like this. It will now take a while to take Midway, my troops are getting some rest now to get more units undisabled. They shock attacked the last two turns when I put them on bombardment. This also happened at Palmayra untiil everything was unloaded and then they could do a bombardment attack and get some units to recover.

Onceagain things do not even show up on my combat replay.

Another British crusier sinks.
