Lowpe, this AAR is really informative and I need to go back through the whole thing for my own benefit. Thank you.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it - but that is a lot of reading![X(] I want to know if you just look at the pictures or if you read the articles?

I try to read the whole thing if I can. If anything, I sometimes gloss over pictures to whatever text/explanation there is.

Thanks...MBF, I am just rolling with the punches.

Turn is away, and I expect more grim things to happen, but I am still being pretty successful at getting E's to escape Honshu, and I am looking at resting my fighters today to reduce fatigue.

So not much excitement on my end, it will be interesting to see how the Allied Tank Army at Liuchow breaks up -- does it go North or East or South East or all three?

Matsumaya holds....flying LRCAP over the base tomorrow, even with Nates![X(] If I can trade them at less than a 2-1 margin it is a win, and better than being bombed on the ground.

Chinese are behind have cut off the supply road for 1800 AV in two mountain hexes (SW of Chungking) ...but the decision was not to move from the level 4 forts, but rather fight and die holding the road so who cares what the Chinese do. Fight and die...not one step back.

The Allied Tank Army in China send 3 units to the north, 3 to the NE and 29 moving east...bulk will head to Canton I guess.

Lost 2 E's to 6 Fletchers east of Luzon, set some Lilly IIc divebombers and search planes out in the hopes of catching them. Six Fletchers puts up a terrible wall of Flak, but I keep trying...

Matsumaya was hit with many shore bombardments, I lost count after 5 battleships and three task forces. Then bombed heavily from the air, but we are holding. Don't know for how much longer....but every day is gold.

VP Ratio is 2.34 and climbing steadily. I fear the loss of Hong Kong and Chungking. Looks grim...

A consequence of Allied Air Field bombing....my supplies have simply disappeared in flames on Honshu.

Still, enough to fight....

Supply, or lack of it in China, has doomed the defense there...but I made the choice to fight thru Indochina and held for quite a long time there so no regrets.

Swimming in fuel and oil.[:)]

A really bloody day in the Air...secret base at Mudken not so secret, and Port Arthur gets nailed hard...

Lousy deep carrier sweeps...I thought they were headed west of Shanghai.

About 75 days left in the game...

VP ratio is now 2.327 to 1.

Chungking, Chengtu and Hong will kill me...I don't think he has to take much more than that.

We shall see how long I can hold out till.[;)]

Myojo's burn!...

Finished the turn, and I am sending out some MTBs and DD given the 0 percent moonlight. Maybe I can put a fish into one of those big carriers...although, I would much prefer to putting some into the battleships.

Daily naval battleship bombardments just make life tough...especially months on end.

Allied forces naval and aerial continue heavily bombarding Honshu. IJN MTB's sortie but do no damage, while a destroyer misses the Allied carrier fleet and then is bombed twice during the day.

A hodgepodge of fighters provide some CAP (over a 0 level base) and at least earn back the victory poinits for the destroyer...which is about all I can hope for realistically.

Cost him almost 20 planes.

Ship losses are high today...Carrier strikes at Tienstin sink the previously damaged xak, and I had tried to put up some small CAP traps but the one at Chefoo is savaged by Corsairs (was Nick d's that got swept).
