Hummmmm, the uniform talking looks just like Popeye's nemesis, Bluto. The entourage looks like a bunch of DC bureaucrats (Bureau of the Navy, Torpedo Ordinance Div).

"Ivan...go in reactor room and hoook up steam pipe again...try not breath"

Has anyone seen damage control on Russian ships in AE?

DU just got offered a part time at the local supermarket. No more pocket money from me!

I imagine that must be a wonderful feeling. [:)]

We were out today and somehow the subject got around to buying clothes for the summer holidays.

Me: Now that you have a job I won't have to pay for your clothes anymore
DU: What????????

Your just like the IMF with your mean-spiritied austerity program...but at the same time enjoying all your fancy French wines. You are the 1%.

A different approach might be less likely to produce conflict .. [:D]

But the very best thing about her job is the hours:

Fri 6pm - 10pm
Sat 4pm - 10pm

There go the parties and evenings out with the BF. Oh dear.

Your daughter sounds like mine was - she loved to spend money - as long as it was other people's. When she started earning her own it was rarely spent.

About the hours of work - I thought 10 PM was about the time young people started to party. Don't tell me this newly independent working girl still has a curfew!

Need some help understanding this one - over here, "Sunbeam" is a kitchen appliance manufacturer.
I am aware there is also a car model called Sunbeam but no cars are visible in the picture and I see no reason to suppose the firefighter would go out and bleed on one.
I know also that "Sunbeam" is military radio code for the CO of a unit. I doubt any of his subordinates would be so concerned with his dry cleaning bill.
Is there another "Sunbeam" that this refers to?

EDIT: Correction, lest anyone call me on it, now that I think about it some more the correct Military radio code is SUNRAY for the CO and MOONBEAM for the 2 i/c. "Sunbeam" is the result of my head dumping half the stuff I ever knew and condensing the remainder to fit limited capacity.

Said with gritted teeth it has a whole new meaning. Junior ratings who upset me I called "sunshine", say it with menace and griited teeth soon make all but the most foolhardy cringe.

D'oh! (insert Homer Simpson smiley here - we really need one of those). Sunshine/sunbeam - should have figured that one out!

It's like a whole 'nuther language.

I am still trying to figure out what "Toe-rag" means. I am betting on something not flattering.

Rare footage of Admiral Lord Sprior instilling discipline among the "junior ratings".
