No attack at Maizuru...and reinforcements really flow into that base.
But at Nagoya, the Yanks are coming, the Yanks deliberate attack...[X(]
Bloodbath ensues and forts are dropped to 0 with a 1-2 attack.[X(]

Supply is extremely problematic now on Honshu...
Troops getting chewed up at a tremendous clip...
Beaches stripped of a lot of their garrison...disrupted and disabled troops headed there for recovery but will most likely stay in SR mode.
Only three weeks to go, but I don't see how I can hold Shanghai and Maizuru. Once Maizuru falls it seems Osaka will fall shortly after.
Set up a cap trap over Maizuru today, Jacks and Frank and Georges fly once more.[;)]

No attacks at either Maizuru or Nagoya. Troop movements continue...I think I can survive another attack at either city.
I have now moved most transports and bombers to fly supplies into Honshu from Manchuko. Quiet times has allowed some stockpiling of supplies in Manchuko.
Some Tabbies are flying troops into Shanghai hoping to build the defenses there.
3 weeks to go...is it doable?[&:]

16 Battleships are pounding me at Maizuru and Nagoya daily.
This is simply tough, not to mention the 100's of planes daily too.
Plus the 100s of artillery tubes.
How in the world am I holding.[&:]

Sheesh - is that what we have to look forward to as Japan players in '45?
Seriously, have never got as far as defending the Japanese mainland in a game yet. Do you have a sense as to the best places to reinforce, or is it a case of building the 'Tojo line' in every coastal base?

Nates don't get a chance, but will try with them again today.
Maizuru and Nagoya are not attacked. Rotating troops nicely now.
Nanking is attacked and holds versus the lousy British tanks. [:)]
Still making great strides at supplying the Empire. Rashin has 200 transports and bombers flying in supplies to Honshu.
Formosa garrisons are flying into Shanghai.
Between Hong Kong and Formosa convoy ships still arrive bringing precious supplies.
Yu sub transports continue being the unsung hero ferrying supplies to China. Other Iboats plant a few mines and some are patrolling deep in Allied waters without much success.

Everything must be used![;)]
I don't really understand your Tojo Line...Allies will in general go where you are the weakest. I am reinforcing where I must...where I have to or where I can reasonably delay the Allies. Terrain is very important.

Another Day...still fighting.
Nates get chewed up by Spitfires and Jugs, but Tonies, Jacks and George get into the bombers and do some damage....
Still holding everywhere. 5000 IJA AV at Maizuru and 3000 in Nagoya. Japanese troops flowing into Ankang, and for some odd reason Fusan is now being pounded by the Allied air forces. I wonder why.

Both attacks were 1-1.
Freeing up the last city of supplies on Honshu. Moving some sub transports to deliver supplies, but it won't do much.
Rotating troops in and out, and I have pretty much abandoned defending most other locations on Honshu. Well, I will be moving really beat up troops there, but anything with supply and soldiers are going to Maizuru or Nagoya.
Troops have to move out of those two cities to replenish supplies and then move back in.
Amazing carnage, but I need only hold for a few weeks.

Troop movement on Honshu...hoping I can survive the next attack at Maizuru and Nagoya. Lots of fresh troops moving this next day but almost all in reserve no pursuit mode.
Nanking holds off an attack. I have more troops moving here, but the troops are awfully pounded by air and naval attacks. Hoping to delay losing Nanking long enough for Shanghai to hold out till game end.

Bombardment attacks at Nagoya and Maizuru allows the rotation of fresher units into the bases while retreating shattered units out.
Close to 5000 IJA AV at Maizuru and 3300 at Nagoya.
Hankow and Nanking hold...more troops on the way. The first Allied troops are 45 miles away from Shanghai...which is weakly held but has lots of units present. Flying in about 50 AV a day to bolster the defense there, but so far Allies seem focused on taking low VP bases like Nanking which has 3 divisions present.
Allies have started to do shock attacks in the mountain passes near Chunkging, and we are still holding our ground.
Game is rapidly winding down...my hope is we can finish it off by this weekend as I reach 1945.

I'm actually glad to see the slaughter on Honshu that you're having to endure, it makes me feel justified in my decision to spend supplies copiously in digging forts on Honshu.

No major attacks on Honshu...still rotating and resting troops.
Set up a CAP trap at Fusan...
I now have 300 planes flying supplies into Honshu and it seems to be really helping. Gotta love Tabbies.
IJA troopers held in Nanking, with more troops on the way. the Allied attack at Nanking has 1 armored brigade, 3 divisions, and 1 regiment so having them there rather than taking Shanghai is great.
Still flying in troops to Shanghai and the first Allied troops will most likely arrive tomorrow.
Half way done December, maybe I can make it!!!

Don't forget that the forts will most likely reduce supply stockpile hits from aerial bombardments.[:)]
