Great effort and example for JFBs in training.
Don't give up, even in the darkest moment. The lurking danger is loss of morale.
I have learned a lot watching the wreck you inherited be resuscitated into a spirited contest. Ultimately, as someone in a movie said sometime that (paraphrased):
'The importance isn't in the dying, but how you carry yourself at the end'.
Honor Guard.

I would congratulate you on reaching 1945, but I don't want to jinx it. So keep up the good fight! Does the game go to AV on Jan 1st because of a point differential requirement change?
Quite correct, if he takes Shanghai, Maizuru and Nagoya it will be close VP wise...perhaps he could even take Osaka and Kobe too.
It will be very close. Very close.[:)]

Positive VP gain again -- 2nd day in a row courtesy of resupplying bases.
Woohoo!
VP 2.519 to 1.
No major attacks this turn...flying troops now from Hong Kong to Wenchow. Shanghai is close to 1000 AV and Allied troops are marching towards Shanghai-- but they have far to go.
Focused like a laser beam trying to finish this puppy off. So excited to wrap a game up to the end.[:)] Poor, poor Jocke is getting slightly ignored yesterday and today.

Allies have a little mixup running/processing turns...but to catch everyone up:

A nasty Allied attack in China...but otherwise relatively quiet.
Dec 27, 1944
Destroyers sink some IJN merchants on the river in China...
IJNAF Georges sweep...and get 1-1 not too bad considering they are model 1 Geroges flying into a huge CAP.

Death at Maizuru again....can Japan hold? Bombardments by air and ship, and then a deliberate attack...but the Allies are hurting too, none of their Divisions seem to be over 300 in AV.
Course...I don't think there are that many IJA divisions are over 200![X(] Some units are close to 100% disabled.

China...
Most of the mountain road positions near Chungking are wiped out...but they held up the vast bulk of the Chinese Army.
It will be hit and miss if Shanghai will be able to hold out till Jan 1, 1945. Let's find out!

Dec 30, 1944
The end is approaching fast...the talks are proceeding and Japan is holdong on if by only her fingernails.
But we fight still! Downed 50 Allied planes today including many 4E beasties but lose 15.
Nanking has fallen, but Wenchow and Shanghai hold. Will the Allies launch a series of desparate attacks or will the war wind down with a whimper?

Who would have thought I would ever see that date, I ask you?
Troops on Honshu are on their last legs...can they hold for just a little longer?
Deliberate attack at Shanghai and it looks bad there...
