Is it just me, or is it so funny that BF desperatly tries to drum up 'Wow-Zee-Wow-za' threads amongst all the screaming "THIS SH_T SUCKS!" threads?"
Is there a lesson here? Maybe pick better playtesters? OH! My sides are aching! did someone really pick a canadian man-e-can owner as a play-tester? Is someone trying to make me laugh to death?
canadians are ticks. That's it.

I am far from being able to comment on CM:SF - because of lack of interest in modern warfare I have neither played the game nor even the demo...... But Yoozername, if you have some issues with the products of Battlefront, maybe their forum is the place to address them.
Back to PC:K
Too bad the campaign of PC:K will be linear. How will the proceeding in this campaign be handled? Only a victory in a battle will move you to the next one??
What happens when you loose a battle? Will you proceed to the next battle in this scenario anyways??

Yes

No
You can always play the battles as individual scenarios if you like however.

Mobious.. often we two core processor owners do not need to dissable the second core... none of my many games do actual.. its that they do not benefit from them! Does this game USE two cores, or is it simply compatible like all the rest?

Not only does PC "support" multicores, it even won intel's 2006 comp for specifically showing the most performance benefit from doing so
http://www.intel.com/cd/ids/developer/asmo-na/eng/264351.htm
I personally find that both of my dual cores get pegged during AI and move calcs with performance monitoring on my g15.
Setting the game to use just one core slows things down considerably.

I can only speak for my little mini-campaign. But it being historic battles that happened in a span of several days with different units participating. So I had to either make it unhistoric using the same replenished unit or use the historic OOB of different units.

It's a little dangerous to design a scenario on a 2x core because it may run smooth there but real slow on a less powerful unit. I made my campaign scenarios on my 2x core but haven't tested the speed on my other single core unit.

point taken, whatch out for the four cores which are coming oops, they are here, still remember the first 8088 desktops that ran a HUGE 10 meg hard drive! technology and its progress is a fun thing to watch! It is also good to be on the other side of the curve. Anyway this looks great.. howp the second game gets out soon.. thanks Mobius

That was Dr Morpheus.
Dr. August Mobius was a mathematician - whence the mobius strip.
Michael Wittmann's 1st Kompanie was commanded by Karl Mobius in Normandy.

I stopped posting here after not really finding Panzer Command to my liking, but also not having time to give it a full trial, after getting involved in the CM:SF testing. Not just testing, but also scenario designer.
I have to say, I'm really disappointed in Matrix Games' attitude. From what I could tell, Battlefront.com has always maintained that it is a big market out there, and plenty of room for everyone. And now Matrix is permitting posts like this, with petty insults about BF.C and their staff? Shame on you, Matrix. You used to better than this. I don't work for Battlefront, but from reading their forum I've always felt they have always been very supportive of other game companies and certainly wouldn't tolerate non-constructive personal attack posts like this, even if it was about their competition.
For shame.
I would have loved to have gotten involved in some of the Kharkov discussions here, but I can see Matrix has other ideas. Pity.

I suppose people have come to expect that sort of stuff from a certain person and ignore it now. (Must be 'inside baseball' as I don't even get what he is going on about.) Responses like this to my explanation of the morale system don't warrant an answer.

That is a crude morale system
Why bother.

What testing? Face it Dorosh. If you try to toss about your credentials by using that badly tested CMSF crap, you just identify yourself as another poor baffledfront decision.
You must have been so beside yourself with Steve-Love that you never bothered to try to adjust artillery? Is it true you sewed a picture of Steve's face on your mannequin?
And please refrain from using..
For shame. Pity.
Isn't that a pity or a shame that you will not pollute another web-site with your posts.

Check out all the trash talk about Commander:EAW and Matrix in the SC2 forum at Battlefront compliments of Desert Dave. It's gone on for 8 pages so far and I don't see anyone at Battlefront stepping in to stop it.
Edit - FWIW I've been a member of the Battlefront forums since July 2000.

I don't want it taken anywhere else, I want him to stop his personal attacks. He's been warned about this before, and I thought he was banned back in December. He was banned from battlefront for his abusive behaviour; why is he permitted to carry on here?
elmo - the SC2 group I can't speak for. They seem like a small knit group that doesn't mix outside their own forum. I know they've had problems with at least one of their posters, who has been forbidden from posting outside the SC2 forum. You're right, though, there is no excuse for that behaviour. FWIW, the SC2 board is moderated by its own moderator apart from the normal forum dudes who run the General Forum or the CM forums.

So go post somethging in the SC2 forum if it upsets you so much. But it doesn't. You just want people to stop calling you names?
BF also talks smack about other game companies themselves. Stop being such a yahoo dorosh. Everyone calls you names. And much worse also. Usually starts with 'insufferable...'.
Now go 'playtest' CM:SF some more. Or are you too busy posting about wargame design and second-guessing everything you were supposed to playtest? Ignore it if you want to but know this; everyone is looking at the playtesters as being weak on CM:SF. Live with it.

And as an example of smack...
We made a decision to not do a "Talonsoft" and continually milk the same small group of people over, and over again with the same engine. That was a deadend route to take and they indeed deadended. The alternative was to push beyond the CMBO paradigm and embrace 1:1, challenges and all.
