Time to show the 2 special russian units.
First the T-34, Freeboy has amassed quite a few of them.

It is slightly weaker than a standard medium tank because i assumed to be a german Panzer IV G or H as medium tank tech level 1, Panther as lvl 2-3 and Panther 2 as lvl 4.
The T-34 only costs 1500 to produce though and has only 5 stack points and consumes much less supply than a normal medium tank. So overall in an abstract way i think it is fine as it is.

And the kayuscha. I made a couple of changes to Tom's kayuscha. It costs only 1000 now, has slightly reduced artillery combat values and the 5 carry capacity are gone too since they were an artillery unit, not an infantry taxi.

So the russian player now can deploy 5 kayuschas for the price of 2 artillery and 1 truck. So they are imho an attractive alternative for the russian player. A bit more cost effective than artillery, but only range 1 and higher supply consumption if you compare firepower.

Pearl is weird. Despite the pacific fleet has 0 strength it inflicts huge losses on the japanese fleet. This might be a bug.

It's april 42 now.
Freeboy destroyed 107 german infantry during his turn and the germans killed 30 attacking infantry. This is surprising, i assumed the reds will attack. On some fronts the Reds have impressive numerical superiority, especially in the south. The situation at the start of my turn:

But first to the westfront. Birmingham did hold against freeboys attack. Reconnaisance reveals no too threatening seeming british forces, so we risk everything now and transfer the complete Luftwaffe to Birmingham + several infantrykorps.
Bombs rain down on the british troops, mainly in London but also around Birmingham. 7 Raf Fighters get destroyed, they destroy 3 Jäger. About 30-40 british troops also get wiped out by the bombing. Situation in England after finishing my actions there:

I think this may be due to a misunderstanding, on your part, of how the readiness penalty works. A readiness of 0, according to the manual on page 54, should result in a reduction of 50% of the defenders attack points and 50% of the defenders hit points. It does not result in 0 strength.

Oh...and like freeboy said, you used the wrong fleet to smack him with...[:D]

You should first launch the thirty plane carrier strike, and then finish him off with a sea attack on the port.

Thanks. I have to confess that i did not read the manual. Since i have played a bit peoples tactics before i thought i won't need the manual and can find out the stuff just because it is similiar as in PT or through trial and error. Maybe i should eventually read the manual [:)]

Watching the turn replay reveals that the air battle occured on the eastern front. That's a heavy price i have to pay for my england campaign :(. Furthermore Freeboys western strategic bombers knock out Rome + Lille.

Kills/Losses in the western theater. Only the fleet aka super artillery aka uberflak currently saves london.

Freeboy attacked a japanese infantry korps with a militiahorde. Seems they are working as i intended them, useless on the offensive, but so numerous that they are somewhat useful on the defensive.

Overall i think that my china is balanced. In the limited war it is impossible for japan to take them, but once they are at war again they can defend vs. china and if they put enough effort in china they can eventually attrition them.

The 2 chinese militia+supply factories can build either 640 militia per turn or 8000 supply. The militia consumes manpower though, so eventually even chinas manpower gets exhausted.
Japan took signapore this turn and killed about 100 chinese troops and 2 western subs.

Thanks for another great game freeboy. I suggest we start a new game with a new modification since i am not really happy with some of my changes neither, especially the pp grants. I think for a new version it is better if i seperate the population.

Then you could do on the one hand reasonable production mali for conquering people of conflicting ideology, make production multipliers instead of pp grants or activation etc..

free time today, did u want me to do this, sounds like you are going to mod your own mod? thanks to you as well.. very interesting, I suggest a house rule for no air upgrades.. ie, the air units can be made at any level, but stay at the level they are produced seems more realistic imo
